On Thursday’s broadcast of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass defended the city codifying its sanctuary city status and acknowledged that being a sanctuary city will spend city resources on migrants and also said that they can’t handle any more buses of migrants sent by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) or any other Republican officials because “we are in the middle of a crisis where we are not able to provide housing for Angelenos” and more buses “would exacerbate that crisis.”
Bass said that she was surprised Los Angeles hadn’t officially codified its sanctuary city status, because “from my point of view, L.A. had been a sanctuary city from years ago. I did not realize it hadn’t been codified into law. The primary reason for that is to protect immigrants, because we don’t want the Los Angeles Police Department essentially doing the work of ICE, of immigration. Undocumented immigrants are vulnerable. And if they feel like they can’t report a crime, they can’t call public officials or they might be deported, then that compromises the safety of all Angelenos.

She is the mayor of Los Angeles, not San Francisco - but I can see how it would be easy to mistake one mayor for the other - they are entirely interchangeable.
Both cities have been run into the ground by such mayors whom the people vote into office year after year after year.
...”Undocumented immigrants are vulnerable. And if they feel like they can’t report a crime, they can’t call public officials or they might be deported, then that compromises the safety of all Angelenos.”
The elected “leaders” of Los Angeles have been saying this for year - to hamstring police and protect illegal criminals from deportation. They fill our jails- then the “leaders” call for the closure of the jail b/c jails are racist (or some other stupid excuse).
Illegal invaders are all over the place - out in public and protesting all the time for “rights” - in public demonstrations, holding signs - knowing not a thing will happen to them.
I hope between the invaders and the massive population of mentally ill, addled homeless they bankrupt the city.
Texas has had to “absorb” millions skank.
Going to Walmart these days is like shopping in downtown Tijuana. Nobody speaks English and everything on the shelves is written in Spanish. What’s weird is that they don’t dress like refugees who just walked thousands of miles and wade the RIO GRANDE to turn themselves in to the Gringo “Free Stuff” offices.
My bad...
Bass: We Can’t Absorb More Migrant Buses Because of Homelessness ‘Crisis.
When she was pimping herself for the lob she said it would be the first thing she would take care of.
BS runs deep with the democrats suckers take the bait every time enjoy the suck chumps.
“And if they feel like they can’t report a crime, they can’t call public officials or they might be deported, then that compromises the safety of all Angelenos.”
Drive south 100 miles or so and enter Tijuana. Rent an apartment or home there. Do not ask the Mexican government’s permission to do so. Pick up odd jobs here and there. Apply for government benefits. Send your kid to the local schools. If you fall ill, just go the local hospital’s emergency room. And if you are robbed, by all means call the police.
Let us know how it all works out for you.
How’s that Cloward–Piven strategy working now? Overload the sactuary cities with illegals, cause them to crash and maybe we’ll realize mass immigration into an increasingly socialist country is a net negative. We’re already full of wretched refuse and don’t need any more.
Lot-O-Buses in Texas.
Because EVERYONE knows there were no homeless in LA before Texas started sending them illegals. RIGHT?
That’s what’s being claimed in this article.
Send even more.
Just wait until reparations are instituted.
The influx on Blacks and partial Blacks will overrun the State.
Tough tities sweetcheeks.
