That makes sense. No matter which way she voted it would be a conflict of interest.
Perhaps the majority of Republican senators got the word that she would vote against her husband. So they are stopping her from voting.
I think it makes sense as well. It removes all allegations of conflict due to her being a Senator and the AG’s spouse.
