Pushing 80? WOW! I saw 65 this afternoon but that would have been late morning up there. That’s a heck of a jump from the low 50s you’ve had for a while. Y’all had no time to acclimate to the heat and with no A/C to help out, it’s going to be a bit rough for everyone.

Yes, the smoke has cleared out considerably today but it’s not gone. I’ve only gone outside a couple of times, briefly, and it messed up my sinuses each time. Maybe the storms coming through tonight will finally clear the air.

I dream of 80 degrees. It sounds so sane after what we’ve been having here. LOL!

I’m glad something is pushing that smoke out of your area. That really gets hard to bear after a while. It’s a wonder your sinuses aren’t screaming out loud!

80 would feel like winter to you after the past several days you’ve had, luvie. LOL
Miserable for Kathy and everyone else at Anchorage, that’s for sure.

It’s just a couple of degrees cooler than that here right now, at close to midnight, and with no wind blowing at the moment it’s steamy outside. I was on the porch for a few minutes watching a hot thunderstorm about 30 to 40 miles from here. Too bad it’s so far off that I can’t get a good look at lightning bolts. But the clouds are sure lighting up nicely. Tall clouds for me to be able to see them from here.

I’m glad too!!! My sinuses ARE screaming and my lungs are too.

The rain is almost here but the wind has completely died down. Hopefully the rain will clear the air nicely.

Hope you get those storms, with only lightning and minimal wind, and they chase the smoke away.

Pump and filters still doing well? Is all the yuck filtered out of your well water now?

OK...now I have the big box fan going, I’ve put up the screens (so the mosquitoes can’t get in) and opened the windows. The weather thingy by my desk is starting to come down....78.8 to 76.5. Closed the curtains to the desk...west facing and SUNNY! Hopefully it will get much closer to 70 in the next couple hours.

I hope you get the rain and with some pretty lightning as a bonus. Well, we’re now at 88 degrees, so that has to be way better than mid-90s at this time of night. Kathy, you’d be fainting dead away at that temperature much less the 108 for tomorrow. LOL!

........I just stepped out the back door, and it does feel better. The kitties are even hungry for a change, so I know they are finally relaxing. If only we knew when this would go away.

We have AC and we also have auxiliary area fans and a couple of rooms have ceiling fans to push the air more. Might have to take you up on the box fan if what we have doesn’t help better than it is. LOL!

A very pleasant good Monday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone doing this morning?

No storms for us but the rain FINALLY arrived a few minutes ago.

The pump is working fine and I need to buy more filters. I’m down to one so it’s time to stock up again.
The water in the well will never be clean. Those days ended when that old fool who used to own the land across the road collapsed the cave my water runs through.

I hope you have HEAVY-duty screens for the windows. I hear your mosquitos are the size of planes. LOL

I wish you luck cooling the house down tonight. At least it’s going in the right direction already.

LOL! I just realized the thunder I’ve been hearing isn’t on the storm chaser’s live stream that I have up. It’s HERE. It’s right overhead now but the lightning’s all staying up in the clouds, like the storm that passed to the south of me earlier. I’m just glad to have decent rainfall so I won’t whine about not getting lightning pics tonight. :-)

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Were you and Gizmo able to head out to one of the lakes yesterday? There were some mighty storms over there Sat. night.

The rain is here but the little storm that just went over kept its lightning up in the clouds. The air’s still nasty and I wish I hadn’t stepped outside for a couple of minutes. I’m choking right now. Yuck.

I hoped it would cool off a little more than it has there but every bit counts. At least the kitties are cool enough to be able to eat. I hope the nuclear blast that’s hit that part of the country doesn’t last much longer. Y’all need a break!!! Soon!!!

There were some storms in our area Saturday night but thankfully we didn't lose power or anything like that. The worst of the stuff was up in Green Country around the Tulsa Metroplex.

I did have to do some tree branch and twig cutting work yesterday. Some of the branches were getting low to the ground and I needed to do that for my lawn mowing job.

We had a great time at Comanche Lake yesterday. Here are all the pics.

Hey, that sounds like real progress! Hope things stay comfy for you so you can sleep. I’m sure you need to be all ready for another crazy work week, right?

Well, doggone that shy lightning that stays up in the clouds. You went out there and got your lungs full for nothing! Fingers crossed that you get more rain.

Meanwhile, I’m heading out when this show is over. I didn’t sleep worth crap last night and am hoping to make up for it tonight. See ya tomorrow!

Hurrah!!! You have rain!! And thunder...I love to hear thunder...very rare here.

My desk thermometer is now 74.7!!!! More progress!

I folded up my blankie and put it away for the time being, and probably the summer.
