“I signed up anyway because my $7.70 is $7.70 some shyster lawyer won’t get.”
Good for you...
Payable by auto-deposit. So it only costs them $7.70 to get a whole bunch of names, addresses, and bank account numbers Google never had prior to the claim.
Have to be a fool to fall for this info mining trap...

All info they already have. Except (hopefully) the bank account #.
Also, it’s payable to Paypal, NOT my bank account.

Are you going to be forwarding it from Paypal to your personal account?
If so then they will get it... Paypal and Google have an info sharing contract.

Well then it doesn’t matter. Cause they already have everything. That cat’s been out of the bag for some time.
Do you think any personal information of yours is private now? Your medical info? ha ha ha Your shopping habits? ha ha ha Your politically incorrect credit card purchases? Seriously?
One thing you can still do to protect yourself is shitcan all the smart appliances and Alexa. Oh, and own an older car. I do both. Those f*ckers at least can’t track my car.

A fraction of a cent per user!

Attorneys get 50%, so $11 million for the public. 150 million people used Google during that time.
Your big payout is 7¢. It’s just a coincidence that equals the amount of reparations black folks should get.

Back when he was writing opinion pieces following his retirement, Gary Larson, the created of “Far Side,” had a term he used that seems to apply more and more these days:
“Everyone, meaning ‘not you.’ “
The nickel you mention is the amount BEFORE the lawyers get their cut.

I suspect almost everyone used Google at some point between 2006 and 2013. So, fifty cents each? The attorneys will rack up the fees in this case and will receive millions while the plaintiffs and members of the class-action will receive a few pennies. That's the way these cases are always structured in settlement. Yup. The only people who profit from class-action lawsuits are lawyers.

Everything connected with the map app, along with the app itself on my iPhone was manually turned off a long time ago.

So, even though you never used it, it used you.

If you say so, although you've never seen my iPhone, nor know the apps that I've disabled on it. Either you're psychic, or you're feigning concern that Google has accessed me on my iPhone or computer. If they have, I don't really give a $hit.

You obviously do, since you're making such a big deal about it.
