...before entering the presidential race, Christie took aim at DeSantis over the Florida governor’s ongoing war with Disney.
“That’s not the guy I want sitting across from President Xi [Jinping] ... or sitting across from [President Vladimir] Putin and trying to resolve what’s happening in Ukraine, if you can’t see around a corner [Disney CEO] Bob Iger created for you,” Christie told Semafor in April. “I don’t think Ron DeSantis is a conservative, based on his actions towards Disney.”

Huh? On what planet is Trump supporting Christie?
To think Christie has the knowledge to define
a conservative makes us LOL.
Fat failed man appears in any venue to say, “notice me, notice me and especially notice me.”
Ignore the fat blob of human debris.
Christie should have known he’d never be AG as long as Kushner was running things. Bannon ran into the same problem.
Ummm..In case you missed it, Doughnut boy is AGAINST President Trump, so how are President Trump supporters allied with a Deep Stater who hates President Trump? You cultists aren’t very intelligent, are you?😂😂🤦♀️🤦♀️
Slither back to DU.
Already started verification of my prediction. Republicans tearing into one another so in the end none are electable.
No kidding!
Asked about the national debt ceiling deal — which DeSantis has warned will do nothing to prevent economic problems — Christie admonished his rival for what he said was a failure to understand the need for political compromise.
“When did compromise become such a dirty word?” Christie said. “Gov. DeSantis never had to compromise. When he was in the House of Representatives he was in the Freedom Caucus and he just said either ‘hell yes’ or ‘hell no.’ And as governor of Florida you've got a Republican Legislature who will do whatever he wants.”
If I'm reading this correctly, Christie is arguing here that DeSantis is too inflexible and doesn't understand the importance of compromise.
Ok, you can make that argument. There are times when leadership requires striking a deal. But here he seems to be criticizing DeSantis for standing firm when he has a Republican legislature in Florida to back him up. Which is Homer Simpson level dumb.
What exactly is Christie's argument here? Is it that DeSantis should stop talking about our continuing slide towards bankruptcy because conservative leaders should just cave on federal spending? Is it that DeSantis should make unilateral concessions to the Groomer Company because folding with a winning hand is what conservative leaders should do?
Yes, I think that is exactly what Christie is arguing. Cave without a fight and fold with a winning hand, because conservative "leaders" should strive to not ruffle feathers, so the objective is always to lose a little bit more slowly.
I’m just here for the jokes.
2. ... no Republican will ever be a governor in New Jersey again.
You are correct on #2 (barring an occasional flash in the pan like a Scott Brown in Massachusetts or a Rudy Giuliani in NYC).
I think you're wrong on #1.
Republicans can't win statewide races in New Jersey -- and are facing increasingly long odds even in formerly Republican strongholds around the state -- for one reason: There has been a huge out-migration of Republican voters from New Jersey in recent decades.
He’s fat enough to take them both out.
LMAO! You always come through:)
No way to ever recover from that.
The William Howard Taft Fan Club slap their bellies with glee!
That probably sounded brilliant running around in your empty brain pan. That's where you should have left it.
It wasn't that simple.
Christie burned his bridges with the Trump campaign in October 2016 after the release of the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape. Christie was apparently convinced that Trump would never win -- so he immediately began to distance himself from the Trump campaign. The tape was released on a Friday, and the Trump team had an urgent strategy meeting in New York City the following day. Trump's senior campaign advisors huddled in Trump Tower, trying to figure out if they could salvage the sinking ship. Chris Christie refused to answer phone calls from Trump over that weekend.
His future as a player in the Trump administration was destroyed that weekend -- by his own doing.
Throwing donuts at his opponent.
Just how does that make a Trump supporter on Christies side?
LOL Christie has been after Trump long before the Meatball.
Geesh youse guys are a sorry little lot.
