The homicide rate for older teenagers in the United States and the suicide rate for those in their early 20s rose during the pandemic to the highest it has been in at least 20 years, according to new research.
A new study published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) analyzed homicide and suicide rates among those ages 10-24 from 2001-21.
The largest annual increase in homicide rates for those aged 15-19 was a 38 percent increase from 2019-20.
In 2020, the rate of homicide deaths among older teenagers was 12.3 per 100,000, a significant jump from the 8.9 per 100,000 rate in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 — which is the most recent data available — the rate of homicide deaths was 12.8 per 100,000 in the age group.
A similar jump was seen when CDC researchers looked at suicide rates for people ages 20-24. The largest annual increase between 2001-21 was in 2021, when suicide rates among those in their early 20s jumped 9 percent to 19.4 suicide deaths per 100,000.

I’m sure the increase was driven by the democrat-endorsed lawlessness of 2020.
Oh, easily! Young adults (with minor exceptions) raised on Social Media lack the everyday coping skills needed to survive in this world.
I hate to break it to ya, but not EVERYONE wins a prize JUST FOR SHOWING UP.
"CDC brought highest rates of teen homicide, young adult suicide since 2001"
Safe and effective.

What was happening 20 years, ago?
The Globalist “benefits” of the mandatory shutdowns and masking in the former United States of America. Evil scum.
What happened in 2001 to cause such stress? The Summer of The Shark attacks.
A writer named Steve Sailor has researched this extensively
After the pullback in policing, particularly in urban areas, after the Feast Day of St. George Floyd in May 2020 - black homicides (which is nearly all 15-35 age group) went up by 53% for the 2nd half of 2020
The figure was similar for traffic fatalities.
Of course, he gets called "racist" for pointing this out.
Not trying to be a downer, but there were quite of a few teen suicides in my town growing up in the 80s. It was like a shadow.
And also the highest rate ever of little kids dying from heart issues and Myocarditis..... tens of thousands more than ever, thanks to the Jab and wearing masks all day! imho
Zee plan ist verkink!
btt
The schools are pushing WEF propaganda that is so horrid and soul crushing that many feel hopeless towards the future. Please pray for these children. The spiritual battle that’s waging in the schools is so evil, little ones don’t have a chance without your prayers!
We lived a few miles outside the city of SA in an unincorporated community with about 6000 families in the 80’s-our cub went to 3 funerals of friends who committed suicide in one month in 1985 when she was 15-she witnessed one of them-at a pool party-the 17 year old host shot himself in the head in front of about 20 fellow students who were party guests. It was awful for those kids, and certainly for the parents of the boy who killed himself-they had no idea he was off the rails...
I’m not at all surprised that this trend is back-when kids don’t have parental support and direction, they can easily develop emotional disorders and suicidal ideation...
I’m sure Dr Fubar is very upset about screwing up.
No he’s not
I graduated from HS in 1978 and I don’t remember a single suicide. We did lose a few classmates to car accidents, though.
And none of us shot one another! And we all had shotguns and/or rifles in our unlocked cars and trucks. Boning and skinning knives, too. A lot of us went hunting and/or fishing after school and BEFORE CHORES and then SUPPER and then HOMEWORK. The horror! The horror! LOL!
It was a whole ‘nother world and I truly miss it. :(
