^ This right there is the problem. Everyone thought they could be the “nice guy” and “not judge anyone” but that attitude only emboldens sinners.
If they know everyone will judge them, it won’t stop them from sinning but it will cause them to hide their sins and not be so flagrant about it that they try to recruit entire generations of your children to join in their depravity.
I think the days of being shamed into ‘hiding one’s sins’ are very long gone. They believe that flaunting them now, instead, is a ‘moral duty’.
We are to judge actions and behaviors. God judges the heart.
