Well it is clear that you disagree with my analysis. However you have not argued any logical refutations or offered a compelling alternative argument. Nevertheless FR is one of the few remaining forums where differing opinions such as these can be freely expressed.
Correct.
However you have not argued any logical refutations [...]
False! Go re-read my previous posting! I successfully refuted each and every of your arguments, point by point - by quoting them verbatim and then revealing that they were logically invalid (fallacious). These are called refutations. You did not deny or disprove any of these refutations, meaning that you do not dispute their validity.
[...] or offered a compelling alternative argument.
To repeat myself: For most of the 20th century and 21st century, Russia has been America's sworn enemy. Especially after it acquired nuclear weapons (its arsenal is now larger than ours, and the majority of those weapons are aimed at us), it would be fair to characterize Russia as our preeminent geopolitical and military enemy.
Thus: Whatever weakens, embarrasses, confuses, confounds, or distracts our enemy is good for America. Whatever comforts, aids, or supports Russia's victims is thus likewise in American interests.
You have not even attempted to address that argument, except to call it "not compelling."
