I actually know some homos that are genuine. They aren’t the nasty in your face type with weird hair colors and slamming their gayness in your face, demanding you bow down to their gayness.

Like with everything, there are those who are fakes and want to use this to make money, or become a celebrity: ex.
Mulvaney.

There are those who take it to far and think this is their chance to live out every crazy fantasy: ask anyone that has seen where they take over a cruise, hotel or resort. Better take the kids and run when that happens!

This is also partially a social fad and all fads in America get taken to an extreme.

IMHO, some of that will eventually get rolled back. Not that it’s going to be fag bashing again, but the extreme behavior and policies will get rolled back because they took it all to far.

De Santis is actually riding on popular support because the people had enough of the crazy shit: drag shows for kids, sexualizing 5 year olds, LGBTQIA being push everywhere you look, coercion in the work place to attend BS training or diversity events, Hollywood pushing this 24/7, every politician prostrating himself... All you get to see and hear is homo this, homo that and I think folks had enough.

Some folks don’t know when to call it. They keep upping the ante beyond what their hand can really support.

Again IMHO: most people don’t give a shit if you’re homo, black, Latino, Jew, Catholic, Muslim, Baptist or from Uzbekistan... All of this identity politics is 95% BS. But it’s an industry which keeps some folks in power and makes them and others money. Are there things where you can point a finger and claim that’s “sexist, racist, homophobic,” sure. But today MOST PEOPLE OVER COMPENSATE.

I don’t think most people give a shit if someone is snorting coke from someone else’s anus at night. Just don’t tell me about it at work, don’t make me attend some training or social event which is in reality all about “your” sexual fetish. There are some people, like myself, where if you tell me about your fetish I’ll judge harshly, and since we’re sharing, I might even tell you all about my fantasies and preferences in detail. Do they get it? Normally no.

There was a time, not so long ago, where folks wanted to nationally legislate their idea of morality. That wasn’t really what this place is about either. Of course in the public sphere and work place, there need to be some rules for things to work, but the idea of pushing one specific set of cultural values societally and inculcating these in our laws pretty much ended.

Today we are at the other extreme at least as it pertains to homos, but I think the tide is shifting.

What you do in your home really is up to you, and as long as you don’t stick it in other people’s faces, most people do not care. But for the victim industry out there, you need to keep things alive, may it be racism, sexism, homophobia, bla bla bla.
