Mexicans are not as liberal as blacks. They have changed FL and south TX.
I can only speak about Texas and what I have seen along the Gulf coast from Beaumont to Brownsville
Mexican diaspora are BLUE DOG Dems. Their current "R" legislators are the FIRST generation who changed party affiliation - they are NOT small/limited G'ment people. More like the Uniparty big spenders
We only have a few Mexicans on the West Coast and in NW fla. we have other hispanics from all over the islands,central and South America very few Mexicans.In the hispanic population as a whole mexicans are 14% of the hispanic population.
