A Christian street preacher was arrested for protesting an LGBTQ pride event - only for the charges to be thrown out when the local DA agreed that detaining him violated his First Amendment rights.
Damon Atkins, 41, was seen on camera holding a sign at the Pride event on June 3 in the city of Reading that read 'Jesus said go and sin no more' and was quoting Bible verses at the marchers.
Police came over and confronted Atkins, who pointed out that he was on public property.

Now let’s here from all the back-the-blue folks. This preacher was doing nothing illegal. Nothing at all. And he had the 1A to protect him.
No matter. The cops just had to arrest him. They couldn’t resist it. Anything to break up the boredom. And anything to play the bully.
Such a blatant violation of the Constitution. The city is going to end up losing a lot of money from this.

There are bad cops. Some go into law enforcement because they were bullied in childhood. Many have absolutely no knowledge of the law. The taxpayers of this town will pay. They are innocent except for not paying more attention to police hiring practices. This cop has no business in law enforcement.
Did one of them look like Chris Christie?
I sure hope so! They need to understand that the Constitution and our rights do matter.
This would not have happened in the old Reading, Allentown, Scranton and Wilkes Barrie, the latter a prime crime feature on Live PD.
Police don’t write the laws
I believe since so many decent cops were pushed off the job, the minions running these cities replaced them with ex criminals, commies and crazy nut cases.
Filthy homosexual cops should NEVER be allowed in the force. They are by definition, mentally diseased.
This is more lawfare and police are the enemy. The cops know he will never be convicted but they use their power to harrass this Christian and force him into the legal process where the punishment IS the process.

That incident could easily create a newly-minted liberal.
They accomplished their objective by getting him out of there and forcing him to incur lawyer expenses.

What law was violated?
