American taxpayers will foot a more than $135 million bill to cover care, food, and housing costs for border crossers and illegal aliens living in the sanctuary city of New York City, Democrats announced this week.

Since the spring of last year, more than 74,000 border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived in New York City — an inflow that Mayor Eric Adams (D) has said “is not sustainable,” though he has not urged President Joe Biden’s administration to reduce overall illegal immigration.

If we’re going to invest this much money, send them to Ukraine instead. Considering how their ‘counter-offensive is going’, they can use a hand (or at least the blood donors).

This is what I feared would come of DeSantis and Abbott’s efforts.

Oh well. But they’re still right for flying them out of their states. Even if it ends up having the blue states having to use Uncle Sam’s credit card.

The fruits of a monetary system based on totally fiat, centrally-issued currency.

Such leftist social-engineering was impossible when the USA was on a gold standard

Now Fed.gov can just issue any amount of debt to fund their schemes, and the Federal Reserve can buy it and suppress interest rates

They’ll go until we turn into bolivia or Argentina.

U.S. officials believe that the number of illegal crossings per day, which has recently hovered around 7,500, could soon rise above 12,000, according to my colleague Eileen Sullivan.May 8, 2023
