One reason for the media giving so much coverage to the Smoky conditions, is that this is happening in New York City.

Since the media are centered in the New York/ Washington axis, anything happening there automatically is magnified, because the members of the media who report on it, are personally experiencing it.

And another reason, is that this gives them a platform to push global warming.

Did anyone in the country, outside the West Coast, hear about the bad air quality in the Pacific NW (WA State) last year from -- ta-da -- Canadian wildfires. We had bad air quality for a couple of weeks.
