Trump-appointed U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon will reportedly preside over former President Donald Trump’s second indictment, the “Boxes Hoax” case.
The summons sent to Trump on Thursday listed Judge Cannon on the summons, people familiar with the summons told the Guardian. ABC News and CNN confirmed the Guardian‘s reporting.
Cannon granted Trump a special master during the investigation last year. Breitbart News reported that some left-wing scholars and legal experts were furious, lashing out against Judge Cannon, claiming that she acted out of political motives and was even an accomplice to “obstruction of justice.”

If I remember correctly, Aileen Cannon issued a number of rulings highly favorable to Trump during the whole Mar-a-Lago warrant/subpoena dispute last year.
He didn’t do anything wrong so why should he pardon himself?

I don’t understand why the Supreme Court can’t straighten out this crooked DOJ.

If rulings are to be determined highly favorable, then the rulings are discriminatory against the law. Rulings are the mirror of the law or they are illegal. So the left is saying the judge is prejudiced? If they can’t prove that, they have destroyed their case using this judge as they are going to create a mistrial.

I believe it was Cannon who originally appointed the special master to review Trump's materials that were being sought by the DOJ, for example.
