What caused Canada's wildfires? Huge blazes that engulfed the US East Coast in smoke were sparked by 'bad forest management' as woodlands are left to turn into tinderboxes... (and this is just the start!)

Nah. Blame the Irish! ;)

Was going to post this separately, but will just add it here. Same story, different source.

Good Lord! These people who think Man controls anything are a blight upon us!

“Wildfires – and their toxic smoke – are affecting us more often. What can we do about it?”

https://www.channel3000.com/news/national-and-world-news/wildfires-and-their-toxic-smoke-are-affecting-us-more-often-what-can-we-do-about/article_11dac818-cb89-5fab-9969-f2efc03ce0ea.html

Here’s an idea! Maintain the forests in a better manner! Send all those lay-abouts on the dole out to the woods with a hatchet and a wheelbarrow! Use prisoners! Use soy-boys still living in Mom’s basement! Plenty of manpower for this operation. ;)

Taking lessons from liberal Californistan, about letting the forest be a forest. Serves them right. (Who SAID that???)

Well, they like to do as America does. Our west burned last couple of years, now they are doing it.

"blazes that engulfed the US East Coast in smoke were sparked by 'bad forest management' as woodlands are left to turn into tinderboxes"

For reference see: California

Newsollini rakes in the big bucks whenever the state catches fire, (which happened quite frequently, over the past few years).

Happens every year. From what I read about the start of the many that are ongoing was lightning strikes causing dry underbrush to start and then fires we so big they kept jumping from place to place.

Of course they tried to manage the fires, but were unsuccessful due to high heat and winds causing rapid spread.

It is the maple syrup trees that sparked the fires.
Maple syrup is highly flammable and tasty....

Hoax denier Brandon thinks it's caused by global warming ...

... when in fact it's the other way around. Massive wildfires cause all kinds of "warming" ... especially if you're close by.

Most out of control forest fires are due to bad forest fire management. We used to let loggers do that for us, as they chopped down trees. They would also clear out the overgrowth at the same time.

However since we put the kibosh on logging, we didn’t take up the slack by maintaining the forests. This has resulted in a lot of over growth in the forest, which has made them susceptible to forest fires when the conditions start them.

We can’t stop forest fires, but we can have a lot of effect on how serious they get by proper forestry management.

Logging companies replant forests. Have you ever seen an environmentalist plant a tree?

You are correct!
They had Fires in prior years, I guess fake news did not report

https://www.cp24.com/news/number-of-forest-fires-in-ontario-up-compared-to-same-time-last-year-1.6432011

Ontario has already experienced double the number of forest fires this year compared to the same six months in 2022.

According to provincial data, there have been 167 forest fires so far in 2023.

Between January 1 and June 7 of last year, there were 78

The data also reveals this is more than the 10-year average of 157 fires.

I remember the “poor air quality” alerts, and haze from then the last several years in the summer like this. Being in MN, we often get affected by the fires there and have also seen impact from wildfires in western US states as well (jet stream and all that).

The Canadian wildfires are caused by the same thing as the US. As a matter of fact they started in Canada, before the US. ECo terrorism. They now have a recording of some of the fore’s being started and of people standing back watching. They claim that it was supposed to be a controlled fire, but you don’t do controlled burns in June in the Canadian forests.Fire preparedness is a winter activity that is done before fire season.

Real / actual Foresters and Forest Managers do NOT have “90 day management expectations”. At least not 99% of the time, anyway.

(The other 1% is usually stuff like: “Clean out the worst of the dead branches and trees 1st, before some hiker [etc.] gets clonked by a big piece of deadwood coming down”.)

My Dad taught proper Forest Management for over 50 years. and proper Forest Management applied over a period of years most certainly can minimize and reduce fire risks and damages, even in droughts.
