PORT-AU PRINCE , Haiti — Old cars, used tires and barbed wire block off the biggest neighborhood in the capital of Haiti.
Gun-toting gangsters have been robbing, raping and murdering the innocent. Weak or corrupt police and officials have done little, or worse.
Now, the people are taking action and a wave of brutal vigilante justice is roiling Haiti, concentrated in this capital of about 1 million. The vigilantes close off neighborhoods. They stone and often chop the limbs of suspected gangsters, behead them and set them afire, sometimes while they are still alive.
Vigilantes have killed at least 164 people since the movement dubbed "bwa kale" began in April, according to the United Nations. The name means "peeled wood" in Haitian Creole and insinuates male dominance and power in street slang.
"If you're not from here, we're going to kill you," said Leo, a community leader who granted the AP access to the Turgeau neighborhood so that journalists could see how the neighborhood is responding to the gangs estimated to control 80% of Port-AU Prince. He did not provide his last name to protect his family.

Well they’re along the path, but Hati doesn’t represent the Democratic endgame. The Democrat endgame more closely resembles Pol Pot’s Cambodia, North Korea, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, etc. they don’t want chaos permanently, just long enough to destroy the middle class and then they’ll offer a way out just as long as we give up all of our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. You cannot reason with Democrats. You cannot bargain with democrats. The only way this stops short or their wet dream totalitarian police state with us totally enslaved is if they’re destroyed. An overwhelming electoral defeat will be a good first step. But with them in the gulags intended for us would be even better

Actually that’s similar to turf wars in all the Dem controlled cities.
Violators end up face down with a plastic bag over their heads in the mud with their hands zip tied behind them in a pool of blood.

On another note: Who would have thought that there were so many ray-cists in Haiti? I mean: The majority of the killed persons were Black, right? Haiti must be a literal hotbed of White Supremacists, right?

Sounds a lot more like gang territory war than vigilantism.
Organized crime can keep a neighborhood safe if you pay tribute, if the leaders have some restraint. You get Mafia dominated Sicily at best, which isn't good, but likely better than Haiti.
Problem is, organization and restraint do not characterize Haitian society.
Good. As long as its cleaning up the thugs. Govt wont do it, the people need to.
I take one look at those slippers, and I think of an
altercation and where your footing comes from. Not good.
When the government refuses to protect the people then the people must protect themselves. Like in the old western films.

I concur with you to a point. I don’t believe that destroying the democrats will work. That was tried in World War 2 and failed. The evil spirit of the national socialists we thought were destroyed then merely moved into a new movement. Now we have them today as global socialists. If we think that destroying the democrats will solve that problem then we’re missing the root of the problem. The ‘idea’ that mankind is perfectible is the root of the problem. That is the opposite of the christian ‘idea’ that mankind is inherently evil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
