Try and excuse this off all you like, but shooting through a closed locked door for ANY reason is immediate guilt of at least criminal neglect and should be. This kind of stupidity is what will get all our guns taken way. No excuse for it no matter what transpired over the years or who was right or wrong up to that point...
You are right.
I miss my black neighbors, they were the best I have had.
Agree, different story if the door was open, whatever colors involved.
—agree completely, but it was suggested as a technique by the present occupant of the White House—
Really? So if this broad punches in the windows on the door and tries the handle, it’s ok? If she tries shouldering or kicking the door in, she’s not a threat?
I understand that is the law, but I disagree. When someone is pounding on your walls and trying to kick your door in while screaming threats, I say it’s completely moral to shoot. I’m sure the dead woman was threatening her repeatedly over the previous two years. If I’m on her jury she gets a second trail because I’ll vote acquittal and not relent.
ANY reason?
Other threads pointed out that the perpetrator was attempting to kick down the door while threatening to kill the victim who then shot the perpetrator.
Threatening to kill someone is absolutely grounds for self-defense, and no, you don't have to wait until they break in and have a clear line on you.
Disagree?
You're welcome to try the same at your neighbors house. Try the off-duty prison guard. He might be more forgiving than a woman protecting herself and her child.
If no luck at your first attempt, keep trying. You just might find someone who agrees with you.
Precisely
So much bull hockey being said by people wandering around in the weeds, with no moral compass to show then the way. Shooter was in her house, on her property, when a uninvited person exiibitng ill intent invaded her property and showed up at her door. What happened? Invader left four orphans. Property rights... You either have them or you don’t. Pontificate all you like, but the fact is if she had learned about property rights she would not be an ex baby mama.
