Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, U.N. ambassador under former President Donald Trump, went after her ex-boss and 2024 rival Ron DeSantis on Sunday over their refusal to say whether they want Ukraine to win its war against Russia.
In recent town hall events, Trump, the favorite for the Republican presidential nomination, said that he wanted the war to end, but that he would help Ukraine and Russia negotiate a settlement.
Florida Governor DeSantis, Trump's nearest rival for the Republican nomination, said recently that he supports a settlement to the war, and that he hopes fighting will end by the time the next president takes the oath of office in January 2025.
"It's in the best interest of our national security for Ukraine to win," she added.

She should pick Lindsey Graham as her running mate.
She’d have us at war with 6 or 7 countries in 6 months. Neocon.
Apparently peace isn’t good enough anymore.
Peace sells, but who’s buying?
“ She should pick Lindsey Graham as her running mate.”

I’m not sure it would be good to have TWO LADIES on the same ticket. ;-)
Besides, they’re both from South Carolina so Linda would have to relocate out of state for a period.
Nikki is hyper-Neocon and super Uniparty establishment.
The American people don’t want endless wars and we can’t afford them. We have borrowed close to $200 billion to send to Ukraine and counting. We have a $32 trillion national debt with annual debt servicing costs of $500 billion. The Medicare Trust Fund is exhausted in 2028 and the SSTF in 2034. These programs represent an unfunded liability of $100 trillion.
We have no treaty commitments to defend Ukraine. And we are spending far more money than all of Europe combined. The EU has a GDP and population equivalent to the US. Why are we paying the lion’s share of the costs?
More and more Americans are becoming disenchanted with this proxy war against Russia.
Haley has no chance. But I’m glad she’s in the race to take RINO votes away from Rhonda.
If she is the nominee, I stay home and will gladly watch her get destroyed.
She won’t be the nominee, now or ever.
while i do feel we do have an obligation to Ukraine having convinced them to give up their nukes (stupid move WJC) and Biden’s delay in supplying agreed upon weapons pre-invasion, leading to the invasion, it’s over a year now. it’s obvious to recapture all that Z intends is unrealistic based on what has happened so far. Biden should have had this 2/3 won by now - and blew that too. time for a deal. Ukraine can continue its war of reclamation on its own in the future if it chooses and can have a better plan. but i think we have done what we could.
Nikki Haley has been owned and managed by Boeing Corp. since she arrived on the political scene in South Carolina. Between its defense contracts and its sale of aircraft to foreign airlines and governments, Boeing may be the best example of a globalist corporation that doesn’t give a damn about American sovereignty or its taxpayers.
This war should have never started. Biden’s actions and rhetoric at that time suggest he wanted it.
All she's doing is raking in millions of dollars of campaign donations and speaking fees while she is relevant to a portion of the nation. When she's done, she will have a nice comfortable nest egg. The same for Christie and Pence. It's all about getting what they can, while they can.
Ukraine never owned nukes. The Soviet Union owned and controlled those nukes.
After the Soviet breakup, the participants had to decide who got custody of what, as in any divorce. Russia got the USSR's seat on the UN Security Council. Russia also got all the nukes.
Did Ukraine have a choice? Soviet soldiers (many -- most? --- of them Russian) manned the nukes that were stationed in Ukraine. Essentially, the Russians took home what was theirs.
Lots of minor candidates only run to raise their profiles. The resulting publicity can lead to book deals, talk radio jobs, and TV hosting gigs.
We do have an agreement to defend Ukraine. The Budapest accord where they gave up a huge nuclear arsenal in return for our guarantee of their territorial integrity. And this lifelong Republican is NOT voting for any Republican who won’t stand by that promise.
Agreed.
My full agreement
