Former President Donald Trump lashing out at his ex-press secretary Kayleigh McEnany came as no surprise to her predecessor Stephanie Grisham.
Grisham, who served as White House press secretary in 2019, told CNN’s Jim Acosta that Trump’s Truth Social rant dubbing her successor “Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ [sic] McEnany” was par for the course.
“This is what he does,” Grisham said Saturday. “He uses you until there is no use for you anymore, or until you dare to say something that could possibly be construed against him.”

The Post loved Trump for several years, but his act has worn thin on them, and me, and many others around here.
This Kayleigh crap has gotten stale. She works for Rupert Murdoch and he has made himself an enemy of Trump and makes no bones about i it.
Grisham is a has been.
RE: I see you are not a daily reader of the NY Post. Never before have they gone on such an untraditional offensive rampage. They bombard Trump constantly every day now.

As Fox was the only sort of non-leftist outlet (with only “the old traditional tv habits and networks are dying, anyway” as the next job possibility. I do not like paid podcasts and streaming. Or non terrestrial radio. No apologies.
Now we are losing the only sort of non-leftist printed newspaper the NY Post with no alternative (”people use Twitter or various blogs and preaching to the choir sites now.”)
Trump just sat down with Hannity for an entire show! Lol. What are you talking about???
I’ve heard several conservative radio hosts raise the same concern. The Dems are enjoying, inciting, and encouraging the GOP infighting, and they hate the whole list of GOP contenders. The tribalism among GOP voters is self-defeating, especially with many who are threatening to sit out the general election if their candidate doesn’t win the primary. I’m so d##@ sick of it that I need to take a break.
And Trump’s hour-long sit-down with Hannity in Iowa exclusively on Fox News just proves how much Murdoch despises Trump? You Trumpists are so weird!
Trump inspires a lot of loyalty among republicans. The guy is willing to go to jail. And go to jail for trumped up charges.
People get that.
Trump is the only person who can get the 20 million plus—more votes needed to overcome the democrats 6 million guest voters from south of the border plus their lock on the state voting process in all the swing states.
He may need more that.
Do you think that any other republican can swing 20 million voters in the republican direction?
Darling Kayleigh was also trashing Trump on CNN in 2015, calling him racist.
Also before Trump she was complimenting Paul Ryan on Twitter.
Then she started brown nosing Trump and he hired her. She did a pretty good job for him.
Now she’s back home on the Paul Ryan network.
It’s so adorable when she flip flops.
Just another swamp critter riding the wave until she wiped out. Like Kayleigh who figured she could turn on Trump and get more mileage riding the Ron D. Saint wave.
Grisham maybe but all Kayleigh did was report a poll on a news program she was hosting. That’s not disloyalty, that’s doing her job.
“say something that could possibly be construed against him”
That’s called a project manager and Trump is one of the best on the planet.
Why would one use something or employ someone if there is no use for it or the employee.
“until there is no use for you anymore…”
They want a job even though they are of no use?
Her own attempt at smearing Trump exonerates him.
The money quote:
“He. WILL. Turn. On You. There is only loyalty to HIM – not the country, the constitution, his constituents, or anything/anyone else.”
What does Stephanie Grisham know about loyalty?
Uh, the Tucker decision was about as close to a Budlight or Target move as you could make. Perhaps he thought to step back from edge rather than watch his whole network go down in ruin. Despite which I will not watch Fox or Hannity ever.
All about the ratings for Fox and Vannity, just as Trump says!
A lot of people watch Fox...as they still watch CNN!
Trump know this best! ;)
People watch him wherever he may show up.
All the others are just snooze alerts.
Watching robotic ronnie say something original,Well bess your heart, now that's weird. ;)
If they could continue their other coverage without the single-minded pursuit of destruction of the greatest president we’ve ever had, I would be fine with that, even though I am really tired of the Brit standards of what is decent photographic coverage of women’s bodies. At least they are no longer publishing photos of what is close to actual grabbing.
This is unprecedented in my experience, and I have been reading the Post since the newspaper strike in 1963. And other newspapers don’t do it, partisan as they may be when there is an important election coming up. They save it for an editorial a day before the election.
I don’t think it is professional of course, but really it is also just not proper, because there are many people who haven’t studied journalism and don’t know what the standards are and why you don’t let biased one-party journals pick your candidate.
Bless^
Have a great eve also!
> My observation is Trump is mission/goal oriented. <
I must unfortunately disagree. As I have mentioned elsewhere, the primary goal has to be to get MAGA back in the White House. That’s Job One. Everything else is secondary, at best.
Trump evidently doesn’t see it that way. He immediately answers every perceived insult with a counter-insult. It doesn’t seem to matter if that behavior gains him votes, or loses him votes. Gotta even every last personal score.
I have many conservative JFK Democrat acquaintances who have moved away from Trump because of this. That’s shallow on their part. But it is what it is. Trump has lost them.
people sure seem to forget that happened....i remember.
