A senior Ukrainian government official expressed "disbelief" on Sunday after learning that nearly half of Kyiv bomb shelters inspected during an initial audit were closed or unfit for use.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy ordered an inspection of all Ukrainian shelters on Friday, a day after three people were killed in Kyiv when they were unable to access one during a Russian air strike.

Oleksandr Kamyshin, Ukraine's minister of strategic industries, said that out of 1,078 shelters examined on the first day, 359 were unprepared and another 122 locked, while 597 were found to be usable.

It’s because we aren’t sending them enough money for upkeep.

Well clearly not. I mean it wasnt incompetence or something more sinister that they couldnt even afford to send someone around to check when this all started.

That’s 596 more than the US has as we have a nice one in DC for the Neocons to run into after they get their nuclear war going.

But how about the rest of America, do we just have to ‘suck it up’ when the Neocon prodding in Ukraine and/or Taiwan goes south?

If you shake hands with a Ukrainian, check how many fingers he stole.

It only took them over a year to conduct an inspection after the first explosions. They were busy with other things.

Yep, they had to find Cayman Island accounts for the billions of US Taxpayer Cash they had stored in those locked bomb shelters, ... before the Russians got there.

That’s not the way Americans talk, but it is the evil poison spewed by eastern europeans.

They wouldn’t need bomb shelters if the scumsucking Russians would stop the damned war!
