Actor Mark Wahlberg is pushing to create a new Hollywood in Las Vegas months after he left his Los Angeles home to give his kids a 'better life.'
Wahlberg on Wednesday lobbied Nevada state lawmakers to pass a bill that would increase tax credits for film production from $10 million per year to $190 million per year over the next 20 years.
'I would love to see us building studios, creating jobs and just diversifying the economy,' Wahlberg told CNBC. 'I've moved my last film here. I'm shooting another film here coming up in the summertime.'

I was thinking about what Richard Dreyfus said and compared it to what has happened with documentaries and youtube. No longer does a person need a corporate distribution channel to get their product to the masses. I hope movies find a similar route outside of the Hollywood system.

he moved from LA to “sin city”. Not sure how much of an “upgrade” that was for his kids.. Less crap on the sidewalks and the LVPD actually shoots bad guys. And the mob wont let pooping on the sidewalks slide.. ok, its an upgrade, just dont mind the hookers, gentlemens clubs, drunks, pick pockets and slot machines in every 7-11.

My concern is will Weirdowood simply (((export))) their gay, climate change, macho-woman, Democrats are good, Trump is evil, UN is good, US is evil, Catholic priests are all bad, ultra liberals are good people, all races and all sexes must be represented in every movie, to Nevada?
As they build this movie industry, will they simply draw from the people now in California and bring them to Nevada, making Weirdowood 2.0?
Off to destroy the next area.

“Hollywood” needs to be contained, not spread or recreated elsewhere.
I'm thinking no state income tax in Nevada is probably a big damn worth of difference.
sounds like he’s on the right path, but from what i remember of vegas, there were just tons of illegals smacking their hands with porno and escort magazines on every corner passing them out. Very annoying. Also annoying street salesmen / timeshare crooks / harassers everywhere. Not a place I would ever raise a family.
Wonder if he took the jab. Could be these actors that saw what happened to Jamie fox and are getting out. I also wonder how many actually took the jab. Or should I say how many higher ups took it. They said they did but did they know what these shots were going to do and lie about taking it.
