Did the Republicans get any meaningful cuts in spending ??

The budget is in structural deficit, meaning it’s not balanced and is in deficit, which will add to the debt and was passed that way, under democrats and republicans.

Even a moron would know if the budget was in balance there would be no need to increase the debt limit, since the budget is not in balance, the debt limit had to be increased, this deal did nothing to bring the budget into balance.

Please be serious, this is a meaningless debate when the fact are so clearly misunderstood by you.

A “cut” is a decrease in the rate of increase in spending.

The U.S. budget hasn't been in balance in my lifetime. I don't know why you're so focused on what has transpired in the last few days. These battles were lost decades ago.

And it's only going to get worse, as the U.S. is now mired in a spiraling combination of an aging population, declining productivity, and social dysfunction that will make it impossible to "fix" the problem.
