Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis is attacking former President Donald Trump for “turning the country over to [Dr. Anthony] Fauci in March 2020” but DeSantis was praising the chief public health official at the same time in previously unreported quotes, saying Fauci was “really, really good and really, really helpful” and “really doing a good job.”
In other comments, the Florida governor said he deferred to Fauci’s guidance on COVID-19 restrictions and later cited his guidance when communicating the policies he was putting in place early in the pandemic in the state of Florida.
“You have a lot of people there who are working very, very hard, and they’re not getting a lot of sleep,” DeSantis said on March 25, 2020, at a briefing on Florida’s response. “And they’re really focusing on a big country that we have. And from Dr. Birx to Dr. Fauci to the vice president who’s worked very hard, the surgeon general, they’re really doing a good job. It’s a tough, tough situation, but they’re working hard.”

This is a lie. Trump criticizes Fauci routinely. He did so while president as well:

Just about every government leader was doing so. Since information about COVID risks was very one sided it made Fauci look like a genius who would save us all. Acting on evidence available at the time to reach a conclusion is not a big of a fault as you want people to believe.

Only a Trump biased mind would say such a thing. I think for myself and are not led by the nose by anyone. I actually would prefer to see DeSantis stay as governor of Florida. But that does not color my view of how the GOP campaigns are being conducted.
That was VERY early on, Fauci had not shown his colors yet. No one could be faulted for backing the medical leaders then.
Old predictions from months ago that never panned out. Those big shots decided not to support DeSantis, saying he’s too conservative, especially on social issues. You really should get out of your Trump echo chambers more, to see what’s really going on.

How many, investigations, impeachments and indictments by the Deep State does DeSantis have against him?
Atlas was Advisor to the President, a ‘special government employee’ in the CV Task Force, limited to 130 days without special extension. He was forced out after his 130 days for calling out the Fauci-Walensky fraud.
