Former President Trump offered a hearty congratulations to Kim Jong Un after North Korea’s admission to the World Health Organization’s Executive Board.

“Congratulations to Kim Jon Un,” Trump said in a post to his Truth Social account on Friday, while sharing an article about the news.

The move immediately drew waves of criticism from Republicans.

“Kim Jong Un starves his own people. It’s a total farce that North Korea has a leading role at the World Health Organization,” said presidential candidate and Trump’s former U.N ambassador Nikki Haley.

He can’t. It’s against his religion of self worship.

Your nastiness, snark, condescension, and vitriol against any criticism of DT is well noted.

“Trump’s always been about constructive engagement with KJU, trying to convince him to westernize, become a transformational leader and abandon his dictatorial ways and nuclear weapons.”

That’s your interpratation and if was true then Trump as delusional. The odds of the dictator in North Korea becoming a “transformational” leader and “westernize” have always been far far less than the CCP in China doing that, and neither one, for any reason will give up their nuclear weapons.

“Trump appealed to KJU’s vanity trying to soften him up.”

1. Backwards. The dictator in North Korea played on Trump’s vanity that he was “the greatest negotiator ever”. 2. It was a massive domestic P.R. boon for the North Korean dictator, helping to solidify the myth that he’s a great “international leader” (”see, even the great American President ‘has to’ meet with me”). 3. Trump - the “great negotiator” got bupkis - zip, zero, nada after he realized in Singapor he had been diplomatically gamed by the North Korean dictator.

In reality, Trump thought he could negotiate anyone out of anything. He understood nothing about North Korea and less than nothing about its dictator.

(oh, and the Abraham accords, Trump was not the negotiator)

“His “congratulations” works on many levels” ??? How so

The Cruz-bots are performance artists of sanc·ti·mo·ny

NOUN
DEROGATORY
the action or practice of acting as if one were morally superior to other people:
“they have no shame and turn on the phony sanctimony”

NOT one of you Cruz-bots will ever be as ‘good’ as the man Donald Trump ... YOU all deserve the uniparty installation of godfather Joey...

You caught DeSantis saying something like this, himself?

Trump: I am the chosen one

Or this?

Trump: I haven’t asked God for forgiveness

Some folks don’t get the satire.

So why would Trump do it then? Yeah, I sort of get it, but then again, there aren't that many people as smart as me. ;)

Trump understands nothing about North Korea or its dictator or its dicatorship. It does not run on the “moods” of the dictator.

It was not Trump’s diplomacy that got the dictator to quit firing missiles, but the other half of our actions making clear there could be consequences. That half does not conern the dictator of North Korea with Biden in office. THAT not Trump’s “diplomacy” is the difference.

Trump’s meeting with the dictator was a massive P.R. domestic victory for the dictator and may have made him even stronger internally than his father or grandfather, and even less in any need to change.

Ah ... I saw the ‘holy’ God made me a fighter campaign ad ... quite repulsive ... all things considered ...

IF God did chose Donald Trump, the people in majority acted just like the golden calf worshipers back when they were led out of Egypt ... some of them got to die in the desert and NOT allowed to enter the promise land ...

NOW if you are a Christian worth his/her salt you know that Paul penned what was ‘Written’

1Corinthians 10:11-13 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

Get it, what is happening now, happened before ... silly peoples...

total nonsense. What "actions" did we take that brought DPRK into line? That's exactly what I mean about your fake moral posturing and phony social-media toughness have had ZERO effect. As soon as Trump left office Kim and his generals were back to their antics.

As soon as Trump left office Kim and his generals were back to their antics.

That statement would seem to be a ringing endorsement for Trump.
