Taiwan is the biggest chip manufacturer in the world (specifically TSMC), purportedly responsible for half the total world production.

The military-industrial complex is extremely dependent on Taiwan accordingly.

Though the Democrats control much of the military, they do not control the military-industrial complex. Quite the contrary.

This is what is preventing China from taking Taiwan.

I understand there’s a chip maker here in the states either already set up or in the process of manufacturing them here so that we aren’t dependent on Taiwan. Which would indicate the US is not going to let the chip issue be used as leverage regarding Taiwan.

I think the only reason China hasn’t made a move is it dos not want world trade to be affected through the Straits, which war would do were it to happen.
