I understand there’s a chip maker here in the states either already set up or in the process of manufacturing them here so that we aren’t dependent on Taiwan. Which would indicate the US is not going to let the chip issue be used as leverage regarding Taiwan.
I think the only reason China hasn’t made a move is it dos not want world trade to be affected through the Straits, which war would do were it to happen.
Taiwan chip maker TSMC is building two plants in Arizona. Intel also building chip plant there. And I think a third company also may be building a chip plant in AZ.
