Same principle.... right? >>> The only drug that has never has any disclaimer associated with it. ever.
Time-share salesthugs and owners are what the stocks and the pillory were meant for.
I used to always listen to Bruce Williams. His financial advice was always tell the caller if they were in debt was to get a second job. He didn’t take pity on anyone who tried to tell him their situation was different.
I’m Bruce Williams, this is TALKNET...
So when you and your wife went to Sedona did you actually buy a time share? Did you keep it?
Reminds me of the early days of Rush when he would imitate Bruce with “go buy a CD” or something similar.
Heard Bruce one night tell the story of hearing that and how much he enjoyed Rush.
the best way to get out of a timeshare is to sell it for a thousand bucks to a penniless relative who has only a few months (or even a couple of years) to live ... a friend of mine did that ... the relative passed away a couple of weeks ago, and that was that for the timeshare ...
Bruce Williams was great
Whole life insurance is bad at any age.

LOL!
We did not get a timeshare.
We got the $75 cheese without getting snagged in the mousetrap.
;-)
Some states have laws about how binding those p & s agreements are. I knew an elderly man who signed papers to buy a time share. He was able to get out of the agreement in the first five days with no penalty and no purchase.
“p & s agreements”
I call them pos agreements.
;-)
Yes, they can be pos agreements - especially with time shares - but they’re contracts. Contracts used to be enforceable under the law. That was before student loans and the two tiered justice system. We don’t have those first world systems now. We’re a banana republic.
There have always been some contracts that the courts didn’t like.
The totality of the circumstances surrounding the contract may suggest undue duress, verbal promises, unequal status of the parties—and courts have been willing to throw out some written contracts on that basis.
Thank you the information. Interesting. As a layperson I can see where those issues might affect student loans and any contract with a minority person.
It also affects fifty page contracts that you have one minute to read and sign or reject or if one party has five superstar attorneys and you are the only person sitting on the other side of the conference table.
