Heck, I can’t even get any type of reparations when my paid-for adviser screws up. I don’t imagine a free adviser would be on the hook for much.
“Can I sue the guy in the other room who listens to Dave Ramsey while I’m trying to work?”
You can also say you identify as a Dave Ramsey listener.
So 17 people who paid a company that was a sponsor of Ramsey between 5 and 72k each and now want 150 million from Ramsey because said company didn’t perform?
Let’s see 72k X 17 = 1.224 Million, assuming all 17 paid that much.
Makes perfect sense (eye roll)

is that the Show that recently changed it’s name to Faith & Finance ?

Using the logic of this lawsuit I would not want to be Pfizer because every media outlet shilled the shot like their life depended on it - “safe and effective” over and over and over.
At the same time Pfizer was paying hundreds of millions of dollars for ad fees and corporate sponsorship. The politicians gave Pfizer immunity, but I don’t think that covers those who shilled for it.
Same principle.... right?
I’m starting a class action lawsuit against him as well. Anyone here been eating too much beans and rice and rice and beans? All because of Dave we have diabetes and high blood pressure and are exceedingly deficient in the vitamins and minerals that a healthier diet would have provided us. Just to be debt free!
Just spend less than what you take in. You'll build wealth and will be just fine.
And NEVER buy time shares! If you need a vacation, just pick a place and go there the one time.
Expect the lawyers will get ~60%, roughly $90 Million.
My wife and I couldn’t resist and accepted $75 to attend a timeshare presentation while vacationing in Sedona many years ago.
Those salespeople were beyond sleazy—you wanted to throw up just being in the same room with them.
I have posted about that experience from time to time.
The time-share companies are fundamentally fraudulent—and all the owners and salespeople belong in jail.
Have you ever seen the episode of The King of Queens where they went to a timeshare presentation so they could get a free flat screen television?
That was the hardest I have laughed in a long time!
This actually happened to me in Las Vegas some years back. It was at the Grandview south of the strip. We were told to get on a bus at our hotel at 7:30 the next morning. I saw through that however and took our rental car over there instead. They were not pleased when we showed up on our own as they knew we had an escape.
However, we went in there, had their free breakfast, and immediately were besieged by the sleaziest salespeople ever who took us to the fanciest suite in the whole place, with jacuzzi and all. Even though I knew most of the units they were selling looked more like what you would get in a New Jersey Hampton Inn.
After two hours, I decided we had enough. I told them to forget about the Donny & Marie tickets and that I was getting out of there. Immediately we were cornered by some aggressive female saleswoman who insisted she would give us the tickets as promised, even though we were leaving early, so long as we followed her to her office. My wife's pleading eyes (she's a big Donny Osmond fan) got me to go along.
In her office, it was the hard sell, all about "What do we need to do to get you to sign for a unit?". She actually said we were being very stupid for not taking advantage of this once in a lifetime offer.
I was able to bail us out of there and guess what, I was able to get Donny & Marie tickets from the box office just an hour before the show that night at a reasonable price. Saved me maybe $85,000 and a perpetual annual fee for a place I would rarely use.

These kinds of lawsuits are based on liability for an endorsement that supposedly led to damages to persons who relied on the endorsement. Tom Brady, for example, has been sued for his commercial endorsing FTX. Rarely though is any substantial misconduct alleged by the endorser, only that they failed to make sure that the product, business, or service they were endorsing was on the level and suitable for the customers that it was pitched to.
Shaq too.
Dave makes it very clear that he gets paid for endorsing companies. He’s gone as far as to explain the Endorsed Local Providers pay a fee directly to Ramsey Solutions for his endorsement. So, he gets paid to endorse companies just like every radio person since Marconi.
Think of all the money I could have made if I had taken on debt. I need to sue Dave Ramsey because I’m debt free and have a comfortable lifestyle. He owes me millions.
I bought a timeshare about 25 years ago. 8 properties, all in places I went to. Really liked it. Then it was sold....and sold again....and then a third time. Each company larger and each one wanting ever increasing “maintenance” fees. Became cheaper to write off what we had put in and get out. Think it was being sold again as we got out to a company with hundreds of places - and the only ones we ever used were in the original 8 we had bought into.
But while it was the original 8 properties, we were happy.
We’ll never, EVER touch another timeshare thing.
