My bet is on two or three leftist parents just doing what leftists do.
The only reason is because the wanton debauchery is portrayed in a bad light. Christians are just no fun.
Principalities and powers, working through the goats 🐐🐐🐐, preparing the world 🌎🌍 for Satan’s anti-messiah the Antichrist.
A godless, reprobate generation is their goal.
Banned Book Week is coming
“The only reason is because the wanton debauchery is portrayed in a bad light”
Exactly......it’s meant as a warning against repeating what’s already been condemned by God.
Heaven forbid scripture should be understood IN context.
I bet they leave the story tale written by Joseph Smith in the libraries...
As a long time Sunday school teacher, and speaking for others that have done so and are likeminded, elementary children need to be TAUGHT. You don’t just hand them a Bible and let them figure it out. That’s why God ordains elders to select teachers to instruct the young.
My church’s Sunday school commonly gave Bibles to children upon elementary school graduation. My parents gave me another upon HS graduation. (I still have both).
Remember when they used to say, “Eat, Drink and Be Merry, for tomorrow ye may be in Utah”?
This is Mormon country; probably not too hard to get the Bible banned there.
This is Leftists trying to copy Conservatives for demands to ban inappropriate material, and it is being done in relaliation against the Conservative demands.
Are there differences between the “inapporpriate material” in the bible and the inappropriate material that Conservatives seek to demand. Yes. Usually what Conservatives seek to see banned has an outright amoral (promoting amoral behavior) or nuetral moral context. While the Bible and its tales do not.
My thoughts exactly.
Davis County is just north of Salt Lake City. That is the home of lots of Mormons. But I doubt they would be trying this stunt. On the other hand, Salt Lake City is the home to a growing homosexual community, and they are much more likely to have initiated this.
problem is though that the ‘trend’ may spread across the nation now that utah has initiated their idiotic edict
The Mormons use the KJV as their Bible and officially consider it sacred scripture. This is definitely leftists and not devout LDS members.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

...
Copies of the King James Bible WERE IN libraries of elementary and junior high schools in Davis County..
I wonder how many public elementary and junior high schools around the nation have copies of the King James bible...
Yeah, but the “inappropriate” things in the Bible were not being held up as examples of how to be.
Seems very specific to mention banning the King James Bible. KJV was the Bible studied in my elementary school. It’s still my preferred translation.
Mormons/LDS would NOT be unhappy with this move.
