I get a warning when I click on:
Backlash Grows Over Male Transvestite Greeting Children at Disneyland
I got that with the Opera browser. When I switched over to Firefox it was OK.
Wow, my compromised browser seems to be causing other Freepers to see the same thing. Weird.
I got what might be the same page. Two color: Amber-Orange type on a white background.
THEN STOP USING goggle !!!!!!!!!!!
If you stick your finger in a fire and you get burned then stop putting your finger in the fire.....
Get DuckDuckGo Browser and delete the goggle crap 💩
Your Internet browser is probably not compromised. Instead, it is set up (somehow) to be sensitive (for the moment) to data from server:
www.jimjambo.com
The problem is possibly a non-secure, troubled connection to JPG file: “BeavisAndButthead4.jpg” from that server.
“Browsers like Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Vivaldi, Brave and GNOME Web use these lists from Google Safe Browsing to check pages against potential threats. Google also provides a public API for the service.”
jimjambo.com is apparently in that list because it’s a harmful website ...
Using a Chromium engine -based Internet browser, I get the following message:
The connection to www.jimjambo.com is not secure
You are seeing this warning because this site does not support HTTPS.
You obviously know you are right, but I use multiple browsers and your pointing out it is on chrome is correct. I will add this: if, using chrome(vivaldi) I search on google for the title you give on your 1st post and click on the freerepublic result, I do get the red warning; however if I right click on that link to open the google link in a new tab it works just fine and shows the freerepublic page just fine. So, it looks like google is actually doing the redirect if you do a plain click on their result.
I’m seeing it and I am using Brave.
Me too. The problem appears to be a Beavis & Butthead toon somebody linked to that’s hosted on a site that is questionable.
Yep, weird “browsers in common” issues! ;-) That thread loads fine for me in Safari, MS Edge (Chromium-based) and Brave. You running some Antivirus/Anti-malware software? They inject themselves between the browser and the website to “protect” you.
Now, no problems with
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4157403/postsd
using a Chromium engine -based Internet browser.
Stop letting chrome google libtards tell you what to think
I get the exact same warning - “Deceptive site ahead” etc. I sure did not pursue it to see what would happen. It seems like there is always a new phishing trick to beware of.
Nope.
Google is the enemy. Cease and desist.
I had the same thing happen when clicking on the same article. I think there must be a picture or something from that link that causes a “warning” from JimRob’s server. FR doesn’t allow porn and any link to other sites that may have an indication of some porn embedded might trigger such a message. Just a thought.
Yep, probably the “jimjambo.com/BeavisAndButthead4.jpg” “direct-linked” picture....never “hot-link”/”direct-link” photos/graphics...it is considered bandwidth theft and is in bad taste. Host photos on servers/sites you control/own or subscribe to.
See http://www.deuceofclubs.com/switcheroo/switch19.htm for gory details when Freeper “COBAL2Java” got “Switcharooed”.
