The silence is deafening as the vast majority of CUNY Board of Trustees refused to weigh in Wednesday as outrage over a law school graduate’s now notorious “hate-filled” commencement speech continues to mount — and the school’s dean faces calls to be fired.
Just five of CUNY’s 17 board members have publicly denounced law school graduate Fatima Mousa Mohammed’s May 12 commencement speech calling for a “revolution” to take on the legal system’s “white supremacy.”
She also blasted the NYPD as “fascist” and accused Israel of indiscriminately murdering Palestinians, sparking widespread condemnation and calls for the public university to be stripped of its taxpayer funds
Among them, the chairman, Bill Thompson, and vice chair, Sandra Wilkin, who put out a joint statement on Tuesday describing Mohammed’s remarks as “hate speech.”

Since Fatima Mousa Mohammed was ‘selected by the graduating 2023 class’ to speak this should tell them all what type of students they’re producing. Perhaps th dean and others are fine with it.
She’s saying all the magic words...“white supremacy”, “fascist”, Israeli “murderers”. How original and creative.
I’d wager 95% of the students and faculty are fine with it. That’s who they are.
All of higher education has devolved into a perpetual hate machine.

Mohammed and 10s of thousands other students like her are our future senators, congress and other political leaders in just 5 or so years.
If we think AOC and the squad, the few rogue attorney generals are just a few forming the crazy left, in another 5 or so years we will have 100s like them.
If we are going to have to fight these people, we might as well clearly identify the enemy by letting the worst of them run their hateful mouths and let the world see their photos.
She’s now cowering and hiding by refusing to be interviewed ... Its all fun and games until she actually has to face the consequences of her acid pen.

On May 9, 2021, Mohammed tweeted: “... i pray upon the death of the USA on a public platform but yolo [you only live once] i guess.” On May 17, 2022, Mohammed tweeted that America is a “genocidal country.”
