Today, America First Legal (AFL) released its fourth tranche of emails received from the National Archives in response to AFL’s request and lawsuit for records from Joe Biden’s time as Vice President in the Obama Administration and Hunter Biden’s corrupt foreign business dealings.
According to the National Archives, this tranche consists of “email messages from December 2009 through June 2010 that includes the company name ‘Rosemont Seneca.’” The National Archives initially proposed withholding “142 email messages in whole and 54 email messages in part” under the Presidential Records Act, but after Stuart Delery, Counsel to the President, and Robert Lenhard, former Vice President Biden’s representative, weighed in, the National Archives ultimately withheld “148 email messages in whole and 52 email messages in part.”
These new emails continue to reveal how the Bidens shared influence and access to the Obama White House with their family and friends.
Influence Peddling
An email from Biden’s former Deputy Chief of Staff in the Senate, Dennis Toner, to VP Biden’s then-Deputy Chief of Staff, Alan Hoffman, reveals direct access and more influence peddling.
As reported by The Nation, Dennis Toner was a leading promoter of the Delaware Board of Trade (DBOT), which was ultimately sold to Ideanomics. Ideonomics was a project of Bruno Wu, who had an investment partnership with Shanghai’s Harvest Fund Management, the “H” in BHR Partners. As reported by The New York Times, BHR Partners was the investment firm Hunter co-founded with CCP-backed investors. The National Archives redacted the email because its “[r]elease would disclose confidential advice between the President and his advisors, or between such advisors.”

Especially liked the email from Hunter, revealing that on a previous occasion, Kathleen Biden, Naomi Biden, Finnegan Biden, and Maisy Biden were “asked to leave [the White House] at least 5 times.”
