CNN — Federal prosecutors have obtained an audio recording of a summer 2021 meeting in which former President Donald Trump acknowledges he held onto a classified Pentagon document about a potential attack on Iran, multiple sources told CNN, undercutting his argument that he declassified everything.

How does that undercut his argument that he declassified everything? I don’t think it matters if he referred to the material as classified in a casual conversation. His official act of stating it was declassified is what is relevant.

Hearsay from a biased source.
At the end of the day what will decide ‘guilt or innocence’ is the content of the documents. Given the rather glaring omission so far of content leaks, its safe to assume the docs are benign and not of any actual consequence and ruin the obstruction narrative. Procedural offenses, like failing to declassify a friendly letter from a world leader wont have any teeth. More political theater. Sounds scary though huh? DOJ....Now do Bidens Corvette garage.
He said as much in a recent interview, and also the fact that he and his team were working with the archives to secure the documents when they decided to send out the goon squad. He said this! I remember hearing it in a fairly recent interview.
So? Anything the president decides is declassified is declassified. There is no process to it.
It doesn’t “undercut” his arguement, he doesn’t have the legal authority to declassify everything in the first place. Him saying it on tape just proves he was aware that he didn’t have the authority so he can’t plead ignorance to this fact
Doesn't sound like he was being uncareful/careless with the information if that is what he said.
It was also held under tight security vs. the garage Biden had classified material in.

So, someone was secretly recording Pres.? From what you wrote, it sounds like he was saying he cant let anyone else look at what is considered to be classified, even if he de-classified it.
