The FBI formally refused Tuesday to turn over to Congress an investigative memo alleging a bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden, prompting the chairman of the House Oversight Committee to begin proceedings to hold Director Christopher Wray in contempt.

(comer says)

"While I have a call scheduled with FBI Director Wray tomorrow to discuss his response further, the Committee has been clear in its intent to protect Congressional oversight authorities and will now be taking steps to hold the FBI Director in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a lawful subpoena," he added.

Just announced from Solomon on RAV.

I don't think anything will really happen from holding wray in contempt, though.

I suspect that this cover up will escalate until Wray is in way too deep to back down.

Then the bribery docs will be leaked to the public at some point in the future

They indicted Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress. Get Wray off his private jet and into jail.

Only a POTUS executive order to the bureaucrats will get Congressional demands for documents handed over, and that will not come from Biden.

Zero his budget, remove PATRIOT and FISA, cancel the project for the new HQ. Pass a law requiring the director be from a law enforcement background.

Jason Whitlock says secession is the only remedy to being ruled by unelected, Deep State thugs, who rig elections.

He’s probably right.

Wray better watch it or he’ll have to park in the structure across the street.

If Congress holds Wray in contempt, who will prosecute? Garland's AG office, a special prosecutor, Congress? If Garland's AG office would slow-walk a prosecution or not prosecute, will Congress hold Garland in contempt? If so, who prosecutes the AG? Can Congress appoint a special prosecutor?

Bottom line: if Congress should hold Wray in contempt how/who prosecutes him? Does Congress have the power to both prosecute and remove Wray?

Many questions, I know.

McCarthy can order the House Sgt At Arms to arrest Wray and drag him before Congress in chains. He doesn’t need the DOJ to do a damned thing. Congress has the inherent power to jail for Contempt. There’s a cell in the basement of the House for exactly that purpose.

It was done in 1934 and the Courts upheld it.

The only thing stopping McCarthy is a lack of balls.

Following the refusal of a witness to produce documents or to testify, the committee is entitled to report a resolution of contempt to its parent chamber. A committee may also cite a person for contempt but not immediately report the resolution to the floor. In the case of subcommittees, they report the resolution of contempt to the full committee, which then has the option of rejecting it, accepting it but not reporting it to the floor, or accepting it and reporting it to the floor of the chamber for action. On the floor of the House or the Senate, the reported resolution is considered privileged and, if the resolution of contempt is passed, the chamber has several options to enforce its mandate.
Inherent contempt
Under this process, the procedure for holding a person in contempt involves only the chamber concerned. Following a contempt citation, the person cited is arrested by the Sergeant-at-Arms for the House or Senate, brought to the floor of the chamber, held to answer charges by the presiding officer, and then subjected to punishment as the chamber may dictate (usually imprisonment for punishment, imprisonment for coercion, or release from the contempt citation).
Now, wouldn’t it be fun to see Wray frog-marched into the House?

Wray did call him and told Kev to agree to Biden’s debt deal and then he would turn over the documents.

Everyone is going to jail except the bastards who are committing the crimes! When people? when are we gonna have enough of this crap! These POS are guilty as sin! When you dare spit in the face of Congress, just because it’s not Democrats who they work for…speaks volumes! They don’t realize the people are watching and that’s why crime is exploding left and right. Because our top law enforcement government they too are committing crimes by breaking the law which only entices more crime across the nation. Those bastards are never brought to justice.
