Three self-identified U.S. Marines were beaten up and stomped on by a crowd of teenagers after the group was confronted for being unruly on a California beach, police said.
Videos from the Friday incident at the San Clemente Pier Bowl area appeared on social media and showed a large group of teenagers assaulting the Marines.
Hunter Antonino, one of the victims attacked, told KCAL-TV that the group of teenagers were acting belligerent and firing off firecrackers at the beach. He said that he asked them to stop and that's when he was hit in the head with debris and the altercation began.
Video from social media showed one teenager throwing a punch from behind one of the victims and starting the melee.
Two of the victims end up in the fetal position on the ground while the teens viciously punch and kick at them.
Eventually two other adults break up the crowd and end the attack.

Which is undue command influence and would likely result in any condition being overturned on appeal to the NMCCA. There’s less PC crap at the appellate court level in the military than most other jurisdictions.
As if to say the identity claimed may be fictitious.

Never having run afoul of the UCMJ (miraculously enough!) during my stellar Army “career” I know very little about it. I have heard the phrase “undue command influence” and I think I have some understanding of it. However,I’d wager that a quiet word to an officer who has the authority to order a court martial just might do the trick. I’m certainly not talking about anything done in writing.

and when they get their reparations they’ll have time and money to do this all the time
I didn’t watch the video but why do we have to listen to nonsense that people who act out aggressively are “victims”.

Let the Marines concealed carry off duty.
I saw a video of boot camp training when a recruit went into that position during training.The Rath of the Corp fell upon him and then his senior DI was informed.
I found that phrase odd too but after reading article it sounds like sheriff confirmed they were Marines. Still not sure since article was written so poorly.
Fifty years ago there was a story at jump school that when the people at a bar in Germany jumped on a couple of 82nd guys, a captain took his unit to the bar with vehicles and totally destroyed it, the paratroops beat up the patrons, and razed the building to the ground.
If the story is true, it sounds so intense that it must have been not very long after WWII when men’s blood ran hot.
It’s usually the guys that are no longer active duty that would handle such a situation.
I would agree that they have to be careful not to beat the ever-living s#$% out of these thugs because they could be in legal trouble for that. They will find a way.
