The Ukrainian Air Force Formed A New Strike Squadron—By Arming Reconnaissance Bombers With British Cruise Missiles
Forbes ^ | 5/28/2023 | David Axe

The Ukrainian air force has been ... busy. With a pre-war force of just 125 or so fighters and bombers, the Ukrainian air arm defended the sky over Kyiv during the heady early hours of Russia’s assault on the city in the spring of 2022 and then, after that assault collapsed, shifted its attention to the front lines in eastern and southern Ukraine.

In 15 months of hard fighting, the air force has lost at least half of its pre-war jet inventory—and scores of pilots. But amid this violence, one small community had been relatively idle: the section of the 7th Bomber Regiment that handles the service’s reconnaissance missions. The air space over the Ukraine battlefield has become too dangerous for manned recon flights.

Working closely with the United Kingdom, the Ukrainian air force has equipped at least some of the recon section—which flies two-seat, supersonic Sukhoi Su-24MRs from the regiment’s base in western Ukraine—with British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

All the pre-war bombers and recon planes—as many as 16 of the former and nine of the latter—belonged to the 7th Bomber Regiment at Starokostiantyniv air base.

-snip-

When the U.K. government decided, back in February, that it would supply the Ukraine government with its first air-launched cruise missiles, the 7th Bomber Regiment’s Su-24s—specifically, the Su-24MRs—were obvious candidates for carrying the munitions.

It’s all but over for Ukraine and they need to start negotiations before Russia occupies even more of their territory.

The Russians are not forced to escalate as they were not forced to invade. This would all end if the Russians just went home.

Ukraine is being liquidated for the corruption value. There is no intention to win or even compromise, just to prolong as much as possible. As long as the war goes on, money can flow. The weapons are only a tool because the people sending the weapons see them as their own property which they can use as they see fit. Do they care about readiness for a future conflict? I doubt it. That is what the nukes are for. If we run out of conventional weapons and it looks like a loss will cost them their gains, they will use the nukes.

Ukraine needs Russian Nazis to stop their latest genocidal war of choice and go home to Moscow.

Well, no.

All that would accomplish is to allow the globalist homo Pedos to complete encircling Russia.

I don’t think that is remotely possible nor something that would happen.

It’s more of a simplistic slogan that ignores everything else.

Ukraine needs to sue for peace now, before this war expands to kill hundreds of millions.

It’s time now for poles to flee while they can.

“After Forbes published this article yesterday, Russia attacked Starokostiantyniv air base in western Ukraine and reportedly destroyed 5 Su-34s.”

Generally, not too brilliant to let the ‘enemy’ know exactly where they need to strike.’

But, in their defense, I doubt they learned that in their Art History classes.

LOL. As if the WEF “globalists” didn’t build Putin’s army via purchases of Russian energy. That’s a very odd and counterproductive thing to do if he’s indeed “enemy”. Obviously, Putin’s Russia is more an ally than enemy of the America patriot hating globalists.

“The Russians are not forced to escalate as they were not forced to invade.”

What would be your recommendation when MILLIONS of Russian speakers were about to be Ethnically Cleansed and the United States and Brussels would not answer the phone? Perhaps stand by while a Genocide took place?

It's another game changer as tens of thousand more Ukrainians are sent to their death and their country shrinks further...But, money keeps getting laundered through Ukraine and that's all that matters.

Who is paying you to post here, Marcus?

Funnily enough it seems that most Ukrainians East of the Dneiper speak Russian. They are still there, or at least those who have not fled westward in fear of ... the Russians.

“MILLIONS of Russian speakers were about to be Ethnically Cleansed “

This above is Russian propaganda.

“Do they care about readiness for a future conflict?”

All of Europe is increasing military budgets and arms production. They received a salutary shock in Feb 2022, and a lot of minds were suddenly changed. I suggest you do some research before you commit to an opinion.

No such thing was happening. Nine years later and it still hasn’t happened even in areas controlled by Ukrainians. No one is killing Russian speakers for being Russian speakers. So why do you keep lying?
