NATO has condemned as "totally unacceptable" attacks by demonstrators in Kosovo that left some 25 of its peacekeepers injured.
Police and NATO troops clashed with Serb protesters in the north where there has been unrest over the installation of ethnic Albanian mayors.
Tear gas and stun grenades were used to deter protesters in Zvecan, after they tried to invade a government building.
NATO soldiers also formed a security cordon around two other town halls...
The NATO-led troops in Zvecan at first tried to separate protesters from the police, but later dispersed the crowd using shield and batons, AFP reported.
Several protesters threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at the soldiers, the agency said...

I predicted way back that one of the outcomes of Ukraine could be a flare-up in the Balkans.
I guess I’m confused, Kosovo is part of Serbia, as far as I know. So, did Serbia ask for NATO Troops to show up, or are we dealing with another NATO provocation?

Kosovo is a territory that NATO-Bill Clinton carved out for Albanians with a Serb minority concentrated there.
This KFOR outfit is NATO established in 1999 latest info I see it has 3,700 soldiers more than 500 US troops involved.
Serbians have never been happy with what happened after the NATO war on them in 1998 following the impeachment trial of Clinton.
According to my Serbian coworkers Kosovo is the historical home of most Serbians. Then Kosovo was overrun by ethnic Albanians when they illegally crossed the border.
My coworkers hate Albanians with a passion.

One problem for NATO - they shot their wad in Ukraine, so I guess they can drop some ‘simulated’ bombs on Belgrade.
