The people who promoted the Russia conspiracy fiction are the subject of additional investigations, now that Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation has been made public.
One of the primary advocates of the untrue assertion that former President Trump worked with the Russian government to sway the results of the presidential election of 2016 was Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).
There is currently a motion in Congress to censure him for the lies he uttered right after the election.
A measure designed to punish Schiff with a $16 million fee for his allegations that Trump conspired with Russia in the 2016 election has been presented by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL).
Per Luna, that totality is nearly equivalent to the expenses of the federal inquiry into the phony conspiracy which was refuted by special counsel findings from Robert Mueller and John Durham.

Most probably not. He was careful to only say the actionable stuff in Congress, and then reference his prior statements while outside. Rush has remarked on it. He’s not stupid, just twisted. But it would be worthwhile to audit all of his statements along a time-line and with reference to where he said each. He might have slipped up and not realized it.
Schiff should be arrested.
He meddled in the election by spreading blatantly fake news, and that helped to change the OUTCOME of the election.
He committed a crime against democracy.

wow. That should be used to analyze lying politicians in the future. Also real reporters would make him say the same claim and not refer back to his previous statements...this would put him on the record. But the fake news was in on it too.

If Trump can be impeached for “inciting a riot,” then Schiff should be impeached/kicked out of office for “inciting theft” from the U.S. taxpayers.
But he told those lies outside of congress too.

A ‘Bill of Attainder’ dissolves all his rights of office and, in the past, could include confiscation of all property and even execution. See the case of Cardinal Ladd.
I thought of a Bill of Attainder is when Parliament votes someone guilty and imposes a penalty. Wouldn’t Rep. Luna’s bill be a version of this?
In any case, the bill is going nowhere and if Schiff is going anywhere soon, it is likely into the Senate. (Although he lacks Newsom’s critical attributes of being a black woman).

I get the outrage over not only what he said, how it crippled the Trump Presidency and how he seems to be getting away with it. But the fact is, he has gotten away with it as have most everyone else who were involved with the Russia Russia Russia case.
The only people being punished are Trump and his supporters.
Add some jail time for both.
