Turkey’s incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared victory Sunday in his country’s runoff election, extending his increasingly authoritarian rule into a third decade.

With nearly 99% of ballot boxes opened, unofficial results from competing news agencies showed Erdogan with 52% of the vote, compared with 48% for his challenger, Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

“Good or bad?”

Good, if you’re against WW3. Bad, otherwise.

If it was a fair election, it’s good.

I should add that it’s good because it slows down the Neocons and Globalists (and Democrats, for that matter, who were working to defeat Erdogan).

“If it was a fair election, it’s good.”

Who know if it was fair, but to their credit, it didn’t take 2 WEEKS to ‘count the votes’, rather 4.5 hours for the Official Results to be posted.

The media can’t question the election if there was fraud because January 6th took that issue off the table.

But Erdogan is a thorn in the side of Globalism he wants a big chunk for Türkiye the official spelling of the country he promotes.

Trump and Erdogan could deal with each other better than Biden ever could or will.

Erdogan was the target of an attempted coup in July of 2016 that Vladimir Putin warned him about and that Erdogan links to the USA.

The BBC propaganda machine wants to paint the worst picture possible of a divided country but Erdogan is strong and has the power.

Soros sees a middle finger in his face IMHO.

Now Erdogan wants power in the Balkans he wants power to the east Azerbaijan and Armenia south into the Mediterranean to Libya and over the Kurdish regions in Iraq and Syria.

Erdogan is friendly to Israel and Israel is friendly to him.

The attack on the TurkStream pipeline is going to come back to bite the West and its proxy in their collective tushies.

Yes. Erdogan is a thorn in the side of the globalists. But he’s also an Islamist who thinks that Mustafa Atatürk’s idea of a non-secular Turkey is oh so yesterday.

Dangerous stuff there.

I actually agree with you. My problem is that we need triage at this point. First, the Neocons have to be stopped before they barrel their way into World War 3, due to their blood-lust to destroy Russia (I guess no one told them that Russian nukes can reach the US).

After that, I would not mind at all in seeing an Ataturk style government return.

All it takes is a weakened Russia to enable it.

I should have also mentioned that word on the street is that Erdogan, with the election now out of his way, is going to help Syria ‘remove’ the 1000 or so US troops in Eastern Syria (something that Trump tried to do, but was blocked by the Neocons).

He’s also partial to the idea of extending this Neo-Ottoman Empire out to the ancestral homeland - Turkmenistan.

He’s got a lot of Muzzie foot-soldiers throughout Europe to help him take over Europe.

********
1. Ataturk was the militantly secular one, not pro-Muslim Erdogan. (Typo?)

2. How does Erdogan treat Christians and Jews?

I think I messed my post #9 up. It should read:

Erdogan is a thorn in the side of the globalists. But he’s also an Islamist who thinks that Mustafa Atatürk’s idea of a secular Turkey is oh so yesterday.

Good catch on your part. It’s not a typo, but my temporary misunderstanding of the word “secular”. Please see my post #18.
