This will actually be problematic for Russia. They’ll need to establish substantial security as there are many saboteurs in Belarus. There also has to be substantially increased logistics and a secure communications system so the weapons can be reliably activated or deactivated (by their operators.) This move increases the risks of Russia losing a weapon without increasing their utility by one bit. The weapons are no more useful in Belarus than they would be at a more secure location in Russia. This is all about politics and waving the nuclear flag without making actual threats.

Russia invading Poland means Article V comes into play. Lots of countries in NATO hold grudges against Russia and it’ll be an epic butt kicking especially if Japan joins in.

If they hadn’t given Russia the American nuclear tech, Russia as we know it today would simply not exist. Communism would have been short-lived, there would have been no Vietnam war, Chinas CCP would be non existent and no tensions with Taiwan.
Russia would have been a thriving place, and not only a gas-station, it would be an ally to the civilized world, without enslaved Russians citizens forced to drink deep-state Kremlin propaganda juice all day long while being afraid of being poisoned or pushed out of a window by “accident” because of having uttered a slight critic of their own Government...
Also, there probably would not have been no Al Qaida, no Iraq / Afghanistan war, no radical islam... The world would have been very different, in a good way.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukraine will be fortunate to hang on to how much land and water that Ukraine currently can - using its present resources to maintain the frontlines.
Moscow can cut roadways and rail traffic between Ukraine and other countries, but Moscow has held back from constant, heavy bombardment of those logistics avenues.
Ukraine has plenty of targets to hit within Ukraine’s territory that Russia now occupies, without adventures beyond Ukraine’s borders.
Ukraine needs thousands of trucks/vehicles that each mount one of the following types of weapons:
- mortar
- multiple rocket tube launcher
- SPG-9
That, because Ukraine needs to be able to lay down a lot of suppressive bombardment.
And that, cannot be accomplished with glamorous F-16 fighter jets.
And, Ukraine does not, and will likely not, have enough tanks (nor heavy-to-middle weight armor), nor field artillery pieces to provide the necessary bombardment offense to recover all of its territory lost to Russian aggression.
I’d bet my left tricycle that more than half of Russia’s nuclear stockpile is behind in its maintenance and unusable.
Knowing the USSR’s penchant for deception, if Pootie-Poot goes so far as to advertise to the world that his army is neglected and underskilled (= Ukraine), what are the odds he’s still paying full fare for maintenance of his nuclear weapons, which no one not in the program could know the truth of? He’s just the sort of lying so-and-so who would dare the world to call his bluff.
You can be sure that Putin’s military have disassembled most of their nukes so they could try to make vodka out of the plutonium.
