I agree with you, some are boycotting but what is killing Bud Light is that the beer-swilling guys just said hell no and they and their beer-swilling buddies who are the core of the beer world, knocking out several cases a week, every week, while working on their cars, playing pool, shooting rats at the dump, playing horseshoes at the neighborhood bar, painting apartments, watching sports, fishing, are just switching brands.

There isn’t really a boycott to end, a chunk of their big, dependable base has already moved on and they won’t be back.

You are correct ansel.

Do not affect your base with anything. Beer drinkers are very particular.

They will need a new name.

Yeah, this is more like the Dixie Chicks all over again - ie insulting your core market.

Yeah, I quite agree and that’s a semi-important point. The audience that was offended was not a high-fallutin’ cadre of folks stepping up to the bar and proudly or ambitiously ordering a craft beer...it was (and is) good ol’ boys working (not wokeing) on cars, etc; just as you said.

A billion-dollar observation.
