I think we are supposed to answer “yes”. I won’t. In early days sorting through COVID “facts” was not that simple. Information was sketchy and government leaders from the federal level down relied on what CDC/WHO and prominent medical sources were telling them. The DeSantis first followed what was recommended to stem COVID is not as damaging as others want us to think. He was quick to realize there was something rotten in Denmark and pushed back on the COVIDIANS insanity.

Here’s the exact timeline, and Trump’s exact lockdown statement from whitehouse.gov:
- March 16, 2020: Trump issues his nationwide lockdown guidelines “Two Weeks To Flatten The Curve”
- March 30, 2020: Two weeks later, Trump extends his nationwide lockdown guidelines, indefinitely
- April 1, 2020: Only AFTER Trump extended his lockdown guidelines indefinitely, AND personally called DeSantis, did DeSantis agree to limited lockdowns that were LESS than what Trump requested nationally
Here’s Trump’s actual announcement from March 16, in his own words:
TRUMP: “This afternoon, we’re announcing new guidelines for every American to follow ... The White House Task Force meets every day and continually updates guidelines ... we’ve made the decision to further toughen the guidelines and blunt the infection now. At some point you are going to have to admit purposely lying. Before responding, go look at DeSantis on twitter. Look at the other links I have shared in this thread.
