TRUMP ADDRESSES SOUTHERN BORDER CRISIS: ‘THIS IS THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR COUNTRY’
RSBN ^ | May 23, 2023 | Summer Lane

Posted on 05/24/2023 3:27:00 PM PDT by SoConPubbie

President Donald Trump took a moment to discuss the disastrous southern border crisis unfolding in the United States today in comments made on Just the News, No Noise with John Solomon and Amanda Head on Monday.

“Well, we had the safest border that we’ve ever had three years ago,” he said. “We’ve never had anything close to it. And it was an honor to have done it…And now we have the worst border, I think, in history.”

Trump pointed out that foreign nations were “dumping” migrants into the United States from “129 countries” and unleashing migrants from asylums and prisons.

“Millions of people are flowing in – I think the number’s going to be 15 million people, by the way, a number you haven’t heard,” he added.

Trump called the unfettered flow of illegal immigration “the destruction of our country,” and observed that not even a “third world country has a border like this.”

The 45th president additionally spoke about the various forms of “election fraud” and “election interference” that has taken place over the past few years, ranging from the collusion between the FBI and Twitter to the Durham Report and the open border crisis.

“If you don’t have elections and borders, as a country you’ve got yourself some real big problems,” he said.

The president recently ripped the Biden administration for its termination of the Covid-era Trump policy, Title 42, which allowed border and immigration authorities to expel illegal migrants without offering asylum.

“With today’s termination of the final remnants of Title 42, Joe Biden has officially abolished what remained of America’s borders and turned the United States into a dumping ground for illegal aliens from all over the world,” Trump stated upon the policy’s expiration.

He added, “We’ve become a third world nation. At this very moment, illegal aliens are lined up by the tens of thousands, ready to break into our country, knowing that even if they are caught, Joe Biden will order them immediately released into American communities and many of these people are very dangerous.”

“Well, we had the safest border that we’ve ever had three years ago,” he said.

And it went away the same day that Trump left office. What one president can do by executive fiat, the next president can undo. So what will Trump do this time to make border security permanent? How will he get a comprehensive border wall built?

What is it with you DeSanctimonious (Mr. "God created a fighter on the 8th day") supporters and the falsehoods you spew about President Trump?

He build 450 miles of new impenetrable fencing and yet you act like everything he did was undone.

Try telling the truth next time, not just the spin you think will damage President Trump's reputation because you are part of the DeSantis Online Influencers group.

Calm down. If what Trump had done was permanent - if he'd really built a comprehensive border wall - we wouldn't have had nearly 5 million illegals streaming flooding over the border in the last 3 years. Those are just facts.

So I'll ask again - what is Trump going to do this time to get a comprehensive border wall built? What's going to be different?

What a SHAME that Trump has to be talking about this.

The CRISIS at the border should be talked about by those in ELECTED office.

The MYTH is there are TWO parties in MIGHTY opposition.

Really?

Democrats are DEMONIZED on this site.

With GOOD reason.

But where are the TRUTHTELLERS?

When it comes to OPEN BORDERS the GOPe wing of the Uniparty is more to blame than Joe Biden.

Trump won in 2016 with a mandate to build a wall.

Why wasn’t the mandate fulfilled?

Because the leaders of the majority parties in BOTH houses named McConnell and Ryan declared that wall was dead on arrival as soon as Trump was inaugurated.

Open borders is a Uniparty policy.

The Evil Media Empire of Rupert Murdoch has ALWAYS been a major proponent of open borders.

Does anyone thing that Ron’s handlers will allow open borders to become a campaign issue if they can help it?

Study the Fox primary debates held in 2015 and 2016.

Marco Rubio was NEVER asked a question on illegal immigration?

Why?

Because that was his weak suit against Trump and because the FNC vice-president in charge of the debates had a daughter who worked for Rubio.

Biden is a stone cold criminal.

Trump’s words at the Waco rally, not mine.

But it is the practice of crooked DA’s in order to clear up case files to blame crimes on the most convenient criminal even if they did not commit them.

Blame Biden for ALL the crimes that he has committed.

But the border crisis is on McConnell and Ryan.

They OWN it.

And so does the Evil Media Empire of Rupert Murdoch on whose board Paul Ryan now sits.

No, it is only a partial list of facts in your FALSE Narrative trying to frame Trump in a negative manner on Border issues when what he did/accomplished was extremely positive.

What you purposefully left out of your false narrative were the following facts:

President Trump was able to effectively shut down the border by doing the following:

1. Build 450 miles of new Border Fencing. The Net effect was that Illegal crossings plummeted over 87 percent where the wall has been constructed.
2. Create the "Remain in Mexico" Policy, shutting off the catch-and-release policies of all previous Administrations,
3. Create the policy that if you ever took Government hand-outs, the Illegal Aliens would never get citizenship.
4. Deployed nearly 5,000 troops to the Southern border. In addition, Mexico deployed tens of thousands of their own soldiers and national guardsmen to secure their side of the U.S.–Mexico border
5. Entered into three historic asylum cooperation agreements with Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala to stop asylum fraud and resettle illegal migrants in third-party nations pending their asylum applications
6. Entered into a historic partnership with Mexico, referred to as the “Migrant Protection Protocols,” to safely return asylum-seekers to Mexico while awaiting hearings in the United States.
7. Signed an executive order to strip discretionary Federal grant funding from deadly “sanctuary” cities
8. Fully enforced and implemented statutorily authorized “expedited removal” of illegal aliens
9. The Department of Justice prosecuted a record-breaking number of immigration-related crimes
10. Used Section 243(d) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to reduce the number of aliens coming from countries whose governments refuse to accept their nationals who were ordered removed from the United States Ended asylum fraud, shut down human smuggling traffickers, and solved the humanitarian crisis across the Western Hemisphere
11. Suspended, via regulation, asylum for aliens who had skipped previous countries where they were eligible for asylum but opted to “forum shop” and continue to the United States
12. Safeguarded migrant families, and protected migrant safety, by promulgating new regulations under the Flores Settlement Agreement
13. Proposed regulations to end the practice of giving free work permits to illegal aliens lodging meritless asylum claims
14. Issued “internal relocation” guidance Cross-trained United States Border Patrol agents to conduct credible fear screenings alongside United States Citizenship and Immigration Services adjudication personnel to reduce massive backlogs
15. Streamlined and expedited the asylum hearing process through both the Prompt Asylum Claim Review (PACR) and the Humanitarian Asylum Review Process (HARP)
16. Launched the Family Fraud Initiative to identify hundreds of individuals who were fraudulently presenting themselves as family units at the border—oftentimes by trafficking children—in order to protect child welfare
17. Improved screening in countries with high overstay rates and reduced visa overstay rates in many of these countries Removed bureaucratic constraints on United States consular officers that reduced their ability to appropriately vet visa applicants
18. Worked with Mexico and other regional partners to dismantle the human smuggling networks in our hemisphere that profit from human misery and fuel the border crisis by exploiting vulnerable populations

And this is just a small portion of the actions that President Trump, and his Administration, took to protect and control the border.

These are some of the policy changes that President Trump enacted through the Policy Administrative responsibilities that the Administrative Branch has.

Finally, the most glaring thing you purposefully did not mention was that President Trump did all of these things while simultaneously fighting the Courts, the Press, Congress, and even his own Party to get these things done.

If you are going to lie by omission and try to state a False Narrative, why don't you head off to another site that is more friendly to Globalist, the GOP-E, and DeepStaters.

These groups will accept your nonsense with nary a peep!

He doesn't need to handle it better next time.

He did an Excellent Job during his last Term. I dare say, he will do better during his Next Term!

See Post #10 for just a partial list of what President Trump and his Administration did during their last term of office.

What you purposefully left out of your false narrative were the following facts:

What I did not leave out is the fact that 5 million illegals have flooded the US since Trump left office. Trump did not implement any border security that lasted past the day he left office. So stop evading the question: what will he do differently this time?

And if you can manage to overcome your love-sick-for-Trump hysteria to discuss it calmly, I have the exact same question for DeSantis and Tim Scott. What will they do to implement a comprehensive border wall? Without a border wall from Brownsville to San Diego, nothing any of them do will last longer than the first day of a succeeding Democrat president.

Last time Trump faced a solidly united Democrat party that voted against every nickel for the wall. And they were aided by a handful of traitorous Republicans.

Trump cannot be honestly blamed for not finishing the wall.

It's not a question of blame - I want to know how Trump will get the wall built this time, given that a solidly unified Democrat party plus RINOs are always going to be there. The wall is a must - nothing else done in the name of border security will last, and the Biden presidency has proven that.

Wake up. Nancy wouldn’t provide the funding. At one point, Trump was begging Congress for another $5billion for the Wall. She said the country can’t afford it. Meanwhile, we send hundreds of $billions overseas and pass $trillion pork spending bills bankrupting the country.

We have $billions of material lying on the ground waiting for Biden to allow the resumption of constructing the Wall.

He had the same cast of characters last time and he still built 450 miles of new fencing.
