Russia's Defence Ministry said on Wednesday that the Russian warship Ivan Hurs had been attacked by Ukrainian uncrewed speedboats in the Black Sea, on the approaches to the Bosphorus strait. In a statement posted on Telegram, the ministry said the warship had been protecting the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines, which carry gas from Russia to Turkey, partly across the Black Sea.

"All enemy boats were destroyed by fire from the standard armament of a Russian ship 140 km northeast of the Bosphorus," the statement added.

One thing is for certain. Joe Biden HATES pipelines, whether in the Baltic, in Canada, or in the USA.

The Russians claim to have destroyed the drones. Naturally that makes me wonder how badly damaged the Russian ship is.

Boats have a huge disadvantage over airborne drones. They are really slow. Target practice for Ma Deuce.

If true, this was just a silly prank on the part of the Ukrainians. At least this one didn’t cost any lives (or pricey MRAPs), unlike their other latest stunt. Of course the Russians didn’t come off very well in the last one, either — talk about asleep at the wheel.

Incident was anywhere near Ukraine.

Wonder where these boats came from.

Good question. Possibly the speedboats were launched from a larger boat out of Bulgaria. Or possibly Turkey. But I don’t think the Turks would go for this stunt.

Generally speaking about Naval Waterborne Drones, both of you are correct, however that may change or has already changed.

There have been several successful tests of Naval Waterborne and Submersible Drones that are notably fast and highly maneuverable.

Whether these are deployed by nations friendly to Ukraine is unknown.

One of the biggest points of Battle Plan Adaption for both sides in this War is around Drone capabilities.

Again you would be correct, Wire Guided could be considered a drone, the wire being the method of communication between pilot and drone.
