“... I read the words, and that’s a pro-Nazi musical.”

No, there’s a pseudo-Nazi character in the musical who says Nazi things. “The Producers” by Mel Brooks also is a musical with Nazi characters spouting Nazi things. Does that make “The Producers” a “pro-Nazi musical”?

Alas, although I love the Wall (Pink Floyd is STILL my favorite band), there’s a problem with the comparison. The main character’s backstory is identical to Roger’s.

That's ridiculous. The Producers is a comedy, and the pseudo-Nazi character is the subject of ridicule. And no one would think that character was based on Mel Brooks himself. Roger Waters admitted the rock star character is a representation of him. He's the protagonist/hero and is not the object of ridicule.
