Nadler rips GOP reps over debunked story on homeless veterans

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday ripped his Republican colleagues for sharing a debunked story about homeless veterans being booted from hotel rooms to make space for migrants, during a House Judiciary hearing on the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Unfortunately, my colleagues are not ones to let facts get in the way of a good story,” Nadler said during the hearing, highlighting a false story that was featured by outlets including the New York Post and Fox News. “This was quickly echoed by the Speaker of the House and other congressional Republicans and even by one of our witnesses.”

Well, I think the hotel was housing all kinds of homeless people, so there probably were some vets in the mix. It just wasn’t something set up specifically for “homeless veteran housing” though.

Republicans never control the messaging on issues. They are too limp wristed to do so. There are so many consequences to illegal immigration, but Republicans can't be united in their message. Pick three or four talking points so the slow people can understand. I'd start with the fact that these scumbag wetbacks are paying thousands of dollars to cartels to illegally immigrate, The cartels in turn use wetbacks to transports drugs that are killing over 100,000 Americans per year. These POS wetbacks are giving material aid and support to transnational terrorist organizations.

Take the eff'n gloves off. Democrats certainly have no problem doing that. But pussy Republicans, and many on FR, think wetbacks are so nice and just coming to the U.S. for freedom. The truth of this story means little.

There should be NO story here.

I voted for a WALL in 2016.

Trump was ready and willing to get one built.

BUT the GOPe not the Democrats KILLED any chances of a real wall.

Trump had not even settled in the White House in 2017 when McConnell speaking for the GOPe leadership in both houses which they had a majority, declared the wall was dead on arrival.
