This is a fracture the GOP move. Get people angry at each other and say Trump is blunted by the DeSantis crowd.
**********
You are 100% correct. The supporters he has have asked DeSantis to split the support in exchange for promises to support him in 2028. Which promises will dissipate like fog when 2028 comes.

RE: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is expected to enter the 2024 presidential race this week, has been trying to bribe high-ranking military officers with promises of promotions in exchange for presidential endorsements, sources in Gen. Smith’s office and at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago headquarters told Real Raw News.

IF TRUE, isn’t that ILLEGAL?

RINO candidate.
Governor Ron is being coached by former Florida governor Jeb Bush.
Desantis picked ‘low hanging fruit’ left wing radical issues as his targets to appear conservative and boost his credentials with voters, but he’ll deliver us back into the hands of the RINOs. His candidacy is a trick by establishment republicans to get their power back.
I used to like Desantis, but now I’ve lost faith in what he’s attempting to achieve.
If he was truly MAGA, he’d support Trump for 2024 and deliver Florida for MAGA. The only reason he would run now would be to derail Trump’s campaign.
TRUMP 2024, for sure.

Who is advising Ron?

He went from “yeah, Ron seems really good” to “Ron may be a snake RINO”. He came on so strong, great ideas and policies. I guess they’re still there - are they?

In any case, he’s gotten very cagey and a bit slimy and sleazy over the last few months.

Is Karl Rove near him?

Same implosion as Ted Cruz did when he hooked up with Beck, trying to look moderate to appease the middle.

(I know Limbaugh’s Awful Replacements love Ron to bits, and they’re in Florida a lot. They think they speak for Right Wing America because they got a gift they never will deserve).

That isn’t going to work. No difference between moderate middle and democrats.

Anyway, I am no longer remotely enthusiastic about Ron. He better smarten up and get back to the base.

The one-page letters, which bore DeSantis’ handwritten signature, described Trump as “past his prime”...

If he runs on that platform he's dumber than I thought.

“isn’t that ILLEGAL?”

If promising people jobs (or promotions) in an upcoming administration (if you win) in exchange for their endorsement were illegal, we would have to lock up every single politician.

Strange how there are so few of the usual desantis supporters voicing support for desantis' announcement of an announcement of a planned event for his presidential candidacy run.

Even stranger, is how many of the vocal desantis supporters have started to say stuff like "I'm a Trump supporter, but I don't know about desantis running", "I'm not sold on desantis, but", expressing uncertainty about desanti running now.

It's possible that many of the desantis supporters have just been nevertrumpers, and now that desantis is failing, need to rebrand themselves, so they can support another candidate to take out Trump.

Well my FRiend, since you ask, glad to oblige...

DeSantis2024
MAKEORWELL
FICTIONAGAIN

BTW, I'm not a "never Trumper", I just prefer DeSantis so far, as he is much more likely to win the general (and I hate all the cringing at so much of what Mister Trump chooses to post or say).

If Trump wins the nom, I'll vote for him.

I'm curious, will you say the same about DeSantis if he gets the nod?

DeSantis is a strategic idiot. He could have backed Trump, remained Gov for 4 more years and then become the heir-apparent after Trump leaves office. This way, he’ll lose fair and square, and will always be looked at as a loser that chased his own political aspirations at the expense of his constituents in Florida.
