More than enough necessary.
If only ten percent of their nukes actually worked, it would still be worldwide devastation.
That’s why I said ‘everyone loses.’ That’s MAD in a nutshell.
Three things:
1. A country that parks nukes that close to the border with its nonthreatening next door neighbors has a bit of a cheek complaining about nukes being stationed over 500 miles away from it... On the far side of a country that it doesn’t even share a border with.
2. Putin has only been predicting this because his invasion of Ukraine was premeditated and he knew from day one the USA and UK would abide by the Budapest Memorandum. Didn’t stop him doing it though.
3. One of the groups on the rampage in Belgorod includes two Russian celebrities (one from Moscow) and a spokeswoman who used to be in the Russian Duma. Painting them as Ukrainians when they’re well known Russians is actually quite risky.
Oh great American made weaponry now going into Russia. I’m sure there will be no consequences for that.
The story was pulled. The source of the claim the warheads were removed was from Ukrainski Pravda. The warheads were in Belgorod, the incursion did not go that far. Mating captured nuclear warheads to a vehicle is not as simple as loading a ap on a Iphone.
I can see why the article was pulled. The author was treating his speculations as fact.
“illegal incursion into Russia”
It’s not illegal to invade a country that has invaded you.
huge Ukrainian army failure in Bakhmut.” The Ukes are encircling Bakhmut as we speak. That sounds like Putin’s propaganda machine working overtime.
I think his point is both sides are fighting. And would argue Imraine began the aggression with a fascist coup overthrowing an elected government.
Allowing your country to be overrun by invaders, collapsing your economy by government overspending while sending hundreds of billions to support a non-allied nation is not a conservative value.
“That’s why I said ‘everyone loses.’ That’s MAD in a nutshell.”
But then, in the next breath, in your follow-up post (the one to which I responded), you said: “Russia has 5,977 nukes. How do you propose the US and NATO stop all of them?”
Which would make your follow-up post nonsensical.
dominusobiscum correctly pointed out that the invasion of the US by the third world and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia should both be condemned, as both invasions do not comport with conservative values; but, ironically, there are so-called conservatives on FR who condemn the former but applaud the latter.
Except for aiding a country fighting aggression I agree with you. I am a conservative afterall.
Nonetheless supporting an invasion by a country bent on stealing land and resoures is not a conservative value yet alone a Christian one.
You said it much more eloquently than I could. Thanks.
You’re welcome.
Great statement. I’d like to add to it:
Nonetheless supporting an invasion by a country bent on stealing land and resources is not a conservative value yet alone a Christian one...
EVEN IF THAT SUPPORT IS BASED ON A TERMINAL CASE OF BIDEN DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, OR BEING TRIGGERED BY A RESURFACED CLIP OF A ONE-OFF COMEDY ROUTINE FROM 2999.
Most justifications for being an invasion apologist aren’t just unconservative and unChristian, they’re pathetic.
Jerry Springer was a mayor, Arnold Schwarzenegger was a governor, Ronald Reagan was an actor, Putin was a bloody taxi driver, and of the Travis Bickle kind... BUT A UKRAINIAN ACTOR/DANCER JUST CAN’T BE A GOOD LEADER.
Yup, that one really is THAT dumb.
Dressing up is obviously faggy. Have you even seen Bob de Niro? Not only did he do a great turn impersonating a creepy cabbie losing his marbles, he also did a camper-than-a-row-of-tents send-up of pirates in Stardust.
Not unlike Zelenskyy sending up the Cossacks with a Beyonce twist.
I’m with George Carlin, a smart cookie who said quite a lot about people who get so massively triggered by this kind of stuff that they start wishing death on people.
Spot on. The attacks on z-calling gay, coke head, so childish. And if they are Christians, they ought to aquaint themselves with the sin of calumny.
