I agree. What we need is Trump as a campaigner but DeSantis as the reformer to get it done. Trump just has terrible gov’t instinct in appointing the right people.
He should have came to a deal with DeSantis so DeSantis would have been his VP. And that make DeSantis the #1 advisor for appointments and the Czar of Gov’t reform (aka dismantling the deep state).
Tell me, did you know at the time when Trump made appointments some of those people would attempt to undermine, compromise and overthrow Trump?
DeSantis is literally an unknown when it comes to how he'd behave if President. As Governor, he's never had to deal with a divided State Legislature. He's had more than a 2-1 ratio of Republicans against Democrats in both Houses. He's untested when he comes to negotiating Bills with a Democrat-controlled Legislature, so how would he act if it was a 2-1 ratio of Democrats running both Houses of Congress. It's happened before, usually during the midterm elections. Republican Presidents, after midterms, usually end up with a Democrat-controlled Congress. The rare time that Republicans lost just the House was during Donald Trump's administration during the 2018 midterms. Republicans kept the Senate, and then of course lost it.
I’ve voted for enough people backed big the RNC and the GOPe.
I guess you haven’t.
“He (Trump) should have came to a deal with DeSantis so DeSantis would have been his VP”
No. DeSantis should have gone all out in support for Trump from the Day Trump declared he is running for 2024 Prez race.
Thank Trump for helping him get elected Gov of FL then wait for Trump to pick him for VP
That would have prepared him for 8 yrs as Prez after Trump finishes his next term.
Big mistake by DeS.
