Stupid take. 80% of the dems (who are basically the people electing the mayor) split their vote between three liberal women, a black woman, a white woman, and an asian woman.
It just so happened that the black woman was the least socialist of that crew. Philadelphia is much more black than it is white or asian. Read anything more into that result at your own peril because it's dumb to go any farther than that.

NYC, Chicago, LA, Philadelphia, Atlanta, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, St Louis, and many other big American cities are now run by black mayors.
The pace of africanization of the US has been nothing but astounding. Whites are quickly becoming second class. and they have no one to blame but themselves.
